Currently, it's Ron Metta World Peace Artest.
And I don't think its close. He's borderline illiterate and some people close to him think he has severe mental disorders.
He has played in LA for years and still can't find his way to the arena from his house without a GPS.
ETA:
all-time? I have no clue, but due to so many players coming straight from HS and not getting a good education in HS due to superstar athlete level, the NBA's All-Dumb team would be absolutely idiotic

I'm not certain that matters at all. Most of the true morons in this thread all went to college.

Also, FWIW, I bet baseball's dumbest players are up there too. They have central and south american guys that have never gone to a "real" academic institution past 10-12 years old because they were so good at baseball.

I remember some sportswriter back in the day saying that as a whole, baseball players are dumber than NBA players. And the smart NBA players are really bright guys.

I've spoken to Battier at length on multiple occasions - he's not an idiot by any stretch. Off the record, I think he likes to get high.....a lot.
One night a group of friends and I were out at this bar and SB, Chase Budinger and another benchwarmer (forgot his name) were partying and if any of the three smoked another joint, they would've probably imploded

What do mental disorders have to with being dumb? Some of the most intelligent people in the world have debilitating psychological/psychiatric issues.
