I'm answering only on my opinion of eachs respective "peak"...breess is a phenomenal qb and is clearly better in my eyes....however I think Warner at his best outperformed his peers by a higher degree. I
I agree. Warner was a BEAST in his prime.........That offense was SIC................

Don't get me wrong its very close but I think Martz is just a bit better
Martz was probably the greatest offensive mind of his time. Payton is that now. But CSP took it to another level.

Mike Martz was one of the most overrated offensive minds in the modern NFL.
Fixed
He is absolutely horrible. Almost singlehandedly lost that SB to the Patriots. Has gotten every QB that's ever played for him beaten into a pulp because of his (lack of) protection schemes and refusal to run the ball.

Just like in real life...warner gets so little respect for how awesome he performed... But what would you expect from basically a Saint-tard board?

I got mad respect for Kurt Warner. Great QB. But we're comparing him to Drew fricking Brees. We're talking about a guy who most say is probably a hall of famer vs a guy that's a sure fire first ballot hall of famer.

Kurt Warner had better talent and he only has one ring yes he played in three but only one ring. Brees has had the talent or the defense on his side to get to as many but he still puts up unbelievable numbers. If brees had the defense that he had and wrs and rbs he could have atleast 3 rings.

Marc Bulger on the Saints there would be little drop off
couldn't make the Saints roster

He absolutely would've made the NO Saints' roster in his prime. There is no doubt.

Could make the case Brees has superior coaching.
As much as I like Dick Vermeil he's not as good a coach as Payton imo.
He also threw for 5k yards and 40+ tds WITHOUT a coach

This isn't even a question.
Brees. By a lot.
Brees. By a lot.

Brees didn't have the weapons that Warner had.
I'm a titans fan so I don't have a dog in this fight but this to me gives it to Brees
Don't forget when Warner went to the Giants he was terrible

If you put a prime Marc Bulger on the Saints there would be little drop off
Sorry, he had his chance.
Marc Robert Bulger is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eleven seasons. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft.
As for the initial comment about the Saints offense not missing a beat if Bulger was quarterback & not Brees..........

Seriously, take this conversation to another part of the country and it's totally different.

I'm gonna go with drew. At His best Warner was surrounded by better talent. Of course i am 100% bias.

So the stats will magically change if this conversation is in Toledo? Brees is the right answer, although Warner had a very impressive run.

False. Brees will rank much higher all time than Warner. He's a much, much better player.

Martz was a poor coach who got lucky and dined out on his Greatest Show on Turf legacy for far too long - without an offense stuffed with all-pros he can't call a game for shite.
That offense was as much Vermeil/Saunders as Martz. Without them to keep him in check he regularly went full retard.
