Just sucks he had to play with a franchise that couldn’t build talent around him.

They have arguably the best roster in the league now. Life is cruel

Green Bay Packers signal-caller Aaron Rodgers has had it the worst of the non-Brees bunch, watching his defense fold against 11 last-second efforts (out of 195 career games)(5.6%).

He's had it a little better than Brees, but both had their primes wasted by terrible defenses and awful front office's.

FACT...... When they are healthy for 7-8 weeks they win 7 of those games without a doubt.....

Tom Brady put his team ahead in the last 2 minutes of both the 2007 and 2011 SBs, only to lose them both because of the defense. One was for a perfect season.

Asante Samuel actually had both hands on an errant Eliamning pass in 2007 and didn't intercept it.

You fricking Saints fans are beyond laughable at this point. You had a really really good dB for 15 years. He's historically rates about where he needs to be, which is right around the top 10 ever to do it.

He will be a first ballot HoF member. He won a SB for a historically dog's hit inpet franchise. Enjoy it. You'll be back to irrlecency next year and your pine for the Brees days again.

2 out of 4 times it has happened in his entire career

Brees had it happen 21 times. Dont think Brady will get much sympathy

ETA: You are a tard. Neither the 2007 nor 2011 super bowl did Brady lead a drive to put his team ahead under 2 minutes

Also, “blaming the defense” for those losses when they only have up 21 and 17 points is pretty funny

The saints merely needed a mediocre defense to have more titles in his career. Instead, they had historically awful ones. Quite impressive really

Even in our best era it feels we still had a bit of a curse going.

When Brees was at his peak, he had historically bad defenses. Then when we finally got some solid defenses around him, it was too late and he wasn't the same dude who could get it done any more.

Or maybe, he just couldn’t throw a 40 yard seam on Sunday, which caused his team to be eliminated?
So if he could have thrown a 40 yard seam on Sunday, then he wouldn't have as many late leads lost in his career, is that your argument?

Reads to me like Brees is poorly at handling end of game clock situations and leaves the other team too much time.

Maybe Brees should have signed with a better franchise after all this failing his defense did? Why should i feel bad for him when he chose to stay?

Same for Rodgers.

I just looked at the points for and against for both Saints and Packers for the Brees/Rodgers years. The takeaway is that both have put up decent points in those Ls but gotten royally fricked by their defenses...Rodgers even worse than Brees.

Brees playoff losses (8)

Offense scored: 23 pts
Defense gave up: 31 pts

Rodgers playoff losses (8)

Offense scored: 25 pts
Defense gave up: 36

Maybe

Or maybe his franchise could have done a better job putting a good defense around him his 1st decade with the team.

No one asked you to feel bad, weird question.

In the playoff games at least, the saints have had a lot of turnovers on offense. Can’t blame the defense when you give the ball up 2+ times.

Brady's played like 43 playoff games or something like that, and his D has given up 30 or more 5 times total, while these dudes average that much with their defenses.

Not sure if this season changed the total, but before this postseason, Brees led playoff offenses turned the ball over less than Brady led playoff offenses.

Specific to Brady/Brees, they both have a career INT% of 2.1

Sounds like a cuck to me.

Watch on the sidelines while your team gets screwed.

Bye Brees. Enjoy retirement.
