No spine. These spoiled losers will now continue to always get what they want as long as they attack and scream at people loud enough.

Yep.. you’re not able to speak your mind unless it falls lock step with the narrative

If you do, you will be chastised by social media until you give in and apologize for your remarks

How long until a teammate has a problem with this portion of the apology?

Everyone who takes a stand against this as a white player will have to eventually apologize. You have to pander to the crowd and agree with them.

Yup. I knew it was coming, but still somewhat disappointed. I guess if you’re a Saints fan you are somewhat relieved he’s putting this season over anything else.

He made the kneeling for the flag about something that it was never meant to be for - the troops.

So only those who kneel get to define what it's for? If you have the stones to kneel during the anthem, accept the consequences. What you really want is for nobody to criticize the actions of those kneeling and for everyone to slander someone who speaks out against it.

Yep

Drew did exactly what the NFl did, he has now managed to piss off both sides

The woke side still will hate him. If his 20 years of actions didnt stop them from dragging him through the mud this little apology wont either. There is no going back.
But now the other side that supported him for having an opinion will be mad he caved

It’s not even worth being upset over.

I felt so bad for the hatred Brees was receiving. He never deserved that.

This year is truly the worst of my existence.

Unfortunately sometimes you have to do what’s best for the team and as much as it sucked, apologizing was best for the team in the long run. I frickin hate what this country has become.

Only those who kneel get to define why they are doing it, yes.

If you choose to stand, you can define why you also choose to do so.

But how does it make sense for you or anyone else to define the intentions of either action made by others, when those individuals have explicitly stated what they are doing and why they are doing it
