His teammates, brothers he calls them, have told Brees repeatedly that the protests are not meant to be disrespectful to the flag. Brees has a different opinion that protest are disrespectful. Brees opinion is a minority held opinion in the saints locker room so he had to apologize to move forward. Both sides have to live with the consequences of their opinion if they make it public. Kaepernick is out of job, Brees had to apologize.

Looking over it more it's a shitty non apology imo. He should've directly addressed kneeling for the flag and explained himself further. Shame.

It’s good to find out who the completely shitty, illogical human beings are on here.

Trash.

Well, they are full of shite

Here is the man himself making it very clear, it is about the flag and what this country represents

They can protest if they want, doesnt really bother me, but dont hide. Its about the flag

Imagine putting all of your self identity into making sure everyone agrees with my opinion and if not we ruin their lives. What a “movement” to support. Comply or die. What a great marketing strategy for these people.

I shouldn’t have said that. I actually apologize.

This situation has got me worked up. I’m really upset about it to be honest.

That attitude is sure to accomplish a lot on in the end and win over legions of outsiders who don’t agree with you currently

so the way kaep feels has to be the same way that everyone else who protest feels? That is not how this works. if you are Brees and consider Jenkins a good friend. And Jenkins says that he is not meaning to be disrespectful to the Troops who have fought for freedom. As a friend, you believe him no?

I’m glad you posted this. I’ve seen a bunch of tweets (Aaron Rodgers for example) saying it was never about the flag/anthem when it clearly was.

He was the one who worked with the green beret on coming up with a form of protest.

He’s the one who started the kneeling.

So yes, you literal bag of shite, what kaep feels about it is what matters.

Bunch I respect you a lot.

I truly feel that if we are all really Americans here we can respectfully disagree with people who peacefully protest during the anthem. Kneeling isnt disrespecting the flag. It just doesnt follow a code set 80 years ago.

Kaep kneeled because he talked to a vet and they came to an agreement to kneel to still show respect, but nobody likes to bring that up.

Catholics kneel all the time.

Kneeling for the anthem is respectful to the flag while peacefully protesting that America isnt where it should be in regards to how minorities are treated.

And if you disagree with that fine. Im an American and these are my basic rights, so I'm not wrong.

I'm sure Thomas is going to have something to say... You should have seen his ignorant tweet a while back about paying his white people tax.

wrong. It comes down to this. if your friend tells you how he feels about something, do you believe him? Or do you say he is lying?
