Drew Allar continues to be the most overrated player in CFB.

Dude is the definition of unclutch. No way I would draft him even though he looks like he was built in a QB lab.

There's been talk about getting him to change his mind and head to the pros. He would go high. Just crazy. He's nowhere near ready. Stay in school another year or two.

Saw a film breakdown on his last pick. Tyler Warren was "open" on a quick out route. It was Allar's first read but he failed to pull the trigger. It was one of those reads & throws where the the defender has inside leverage pre & post snap. 3 step drop & throw on time before the receiver (Warren) comes out his break out towards the sideline where only the receiver can get it. It was an easy read & throw to start the drive off yet Allar froze then when the play broke down he got pressured & forced the ball over the middle with nothing there.

Some idiot organization will draft him highly thinking they have Josh Allen because of this and Allar ends up like the 99% of other busts drafted on measurements instead of play on the field.

I'm not even sure where this Allar hype came from.

It feels like Anthony Richardson 2.0 where scouts fell in love with his measurables, and nobody actually watched him play college football.

That was the single worst QB performance I've ever seen in a high stakes game, ever. It's impossible to overstate how much he single handidly cost Penn State that game.

1. He ended the game with 0 completions to WR. Only the 6th time all season an FBS team did that this season. The other 5 teams were all service academies who run the triple option.

2. Horribly under threw a trivially easy walk in touchdown pass to the RB making the catch quite difficult and thus dropped. Cost them 4 points.

3. He threw two absolutely terrible red zone interceptions, completely forced the ball into coverage. Both times he got bailed out by a penalty. Either one of them would have essentially lost the game.

4. With the game tied and only 30 seconds left, deep in his own territory on 1st and 10 he threw across his body into coverage, doing the ONLY POSSIBLE THING you can't do and thus losing the game.

I'm guessing he cracked under the pressure or something. There's no way Penn State would have gotten to that point had he been even remotely that bad all year.

Allar was pretty clutch most of the year - see USC game but, like the BIG Championship game, Allar makes a boneheaded decision and forces the ball that ends the game.

He needs another year and he was terrible tonight. But you can see why the NFL scouts love him. All the physical tools are there. You just have to unlock it. I think he’s definitely worth taking a flyer on in the 3rd or 4th round if he came out. He’d need to sit for a year or two but I’d rather a 3rd on him than a 1st on Sanders.

He threw 3 picks and got bailed out by Tyler Warren destroying USC and Miller Moss/Riley choking
