Doug Williams Excited About All Black Super Bowl

quote:

And for Williams, the first Black quarterback to start in the Super Bowl and win the game’s MVP award, those results meant that something he has longed to witness has finally occurred: For the first time in NFL history, two Black quarterbacks have led their teams to the Super Bowl in the same season.

Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs and Jalen Hurts of the Eagles will face off on the league’s biggest stage in Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona.

Williams seemed pleased, to say the least.

“That’s what I’m talking about! Yes! Yes! We’ve got two Black quarterbacks in the Super Bowl!” Williams shouted into the phone. “Man, after Jalen won earlier, I was pulling for Patrick. I was sitting here on pins and needles to see if it would happe

quote:

For most of the NFL’s history, team owners had as much interest in permitting Black men to play quarterback as they did in paying capital gains taxes. The white men who ran the league – and there’s no way to sugarcoat this – believed Black men lacked the intelligence and leadership skills to succeed at professional sports’ most important position.

quote:

But before hanging up, Williams offered one final gem.

“Besides, there are two Black quarterbacks in the Super Bowl,” Williams said. “Either way, I can’t lose.”

ESPN promoting this racist shite.

Jalen Hurts gives me vibes of someone who don't give a flying frick about skin color.

Oh boy, I wonder what they’d call me if I obsessed over my brethrens skin color this much.

Eta: thats a funny thought actually, “Why are you rooting for Joe Burrow and the Bengals to win today?”

“Because he’s white.”

That’s pretty wild he openly admits he wanted Patrick to win simply cause he’s black (part black). I guess it’s okay for me to cheer for players simply cause they’re white then.

If you really want to stir these racist idiots up, go ahead and sing the lyrics to some of their favorite songs.

Well quite frankly, we wouldn't be at this point if the racist white owners would have given the talented black QB's a fair shot 40 years ago.

Maybe, just maybe this would have occurred decades ago and this subject would be a big nothing burger.

Seriously? I wasn’t even born yet and I know the answer to that

The OP is a humongous hint to his claim to fame.

If someone has a white mama, does he truly understand growing up black in America?

All the reasons I’m proud to be white is because of bl…. Err dumb luck.

Seriously, I can’t think of a single time in my life that I was proud to be who I am because of shite somebody else was currently doing. Being insecure ain’t part of my privilege
