It’s amazing to me how many people just gloss over that part lol. The classes were provided to all students. It makes UNC look really bad as an academic institution no doubt but the NCAA had no jurisdiction there

By rule Zion is ineligible due ro Cecil Newton rule installed in 2012. No parent or guardian can solicit and act as an agent.

The dad soliciting is not the same as a coach offering extra benefits. Parents can ask for the moon but as long as the school gives them nothing more than the scholarship there is no problem.

KU fans don’t want to hear this, but playing for Duke/ACC, with this class-the ESPN+ series and for Coach K has already made Zion more future money than KU could offer him.
With that in mind, all programs are dirty, but Coach K is so far removed from that he probably is intentionally ignorant on the matter.

Incorrect. Rule listed above was instated in 2012. Kid is supposed to be ineligible if parents ask for anything.
THAT is why the media is silent on the matter with Zion. They don't want to kill their cash cow. He's instant ratings and they're going to use him for every cent they can get.
