hes not being arrested...
I know, that's my point. The league acts all high and mighty about this situation but in the past has allowed more serious acts to go by like nothing happened.
Mecca World Peace is still playing and once walked into the stands and fought with a fan. (That seems like a negative environment if you ask me, don't want a guy like that in my locker room)

Has a legal expert you failed. Look at the NBA as a high end country club. You don't just by your way in there is an interview process and even a voting process for admittance. There are rules to be followed, one most likely involving representing the image of the league in a good way. Your comments although in your personal life became public. Sponsors are now removing their names and dollars from the league. Some of the biggest names in the history of the game publicly say they refuse to attend those games. A coach says they are uncertain of their status with the future of the team after this season, players have expressed similar feelings. At this point the league has to address their best interest. And to go back to the country club reference, he is no longer wanted in the club for the best interest of their product. It is their rules!

So it is ok for kids and fans to watch a player fight a fan?
What about allowing a player that was convicted of RAPE back into the NBA to play another 7 seasons? What does that say to kids? Oh its ok if you are a pro athlete, you can pretty much do what you want and never suffer any consequences. CSB

He is a moron and he DOES deserve it, but I'm not sure that this is the right thing to do.

He deserved it a long time ago. A LONG time ago.
That's what people that actually know shite about shite and do their research have a problem with.
Sterling is a piece of shite that shouldn't be an owner in the NBA, but it has NOTHING to do with a private conversation he has with his girlfriend.
All the people that are now soapboxing with their once a year racial issue who only pay attention to TMZ, though, they would have you think otherwise.

I pretty much agree. I think he should have been fined, and suspended for a whole season. But I think its clear Silva wanted to make his mark in the league. He doesn't want to be known as David sterns replacement, but rather as his own person completely. Sterling had ?the misfortune of being an example for Silva to say "there's a new sheriff in town. And he means business"
