Dish/sling are watching out for you trying to keep costs down. They are notorious for fighting back against networks that are trying to raise costs. By cancelling, especially immediately, you are just screwing yourself.

I’ve managed to watch every game I want on YouTube this year. There is a live stream of nearly all the college games. You have to deal with adds occasionally but if you find the right stream it’s hassle free.

One of these streaming services could probably create a niche market of not carrying any sports networks or Disney but carrying local networks (except ABC, owned by Disney) and other entertainment channels and charge less than the other streaming services.

Cable bills are so high, in part, because of what ESPN charges per subscriber compared to what other networks charge. Disney is notorious for its high price per subscriber model.

Dish and Sling are shite. Dish constantly extorts content providers and it's customers are the victims.

This. YouTube TV figured it out last year without a price increase. Why can’t they?

What I did last night. Hulu kept disconnecting and other crap I pay for just doesn’t have anything. Found some games on YouTube and they played seamlessly.

LOL at people claiming that this is better for consumer.

You fricking morons, your paying horrible prices for shite packages from providers, the services arent getting better with competition, it's getting 1000x worse because of the monopoly 4 companies have on the channel industry. .

And any tard who spends money on youtube tv, is that, a tard. shite channels, and the price you pay, for what you get is laughable.

You baws need to learn what IPTV is about. $15 a month or so I think with my provider and have more channels than I could ever watch. Watch most things on UK/EU channels for fewer ads. Races are ad-free.

I say nobody should pay Disney. We can ride it out. If dish and sling pay, it just reinforces that Disney can do what it wants. Frick them.

And no one gives a frick about your opinion
It’s the same channels for less, call it shite all you want, you don’t have to get either. The options are not some magical flawless service for free. I get the channels I want to watch for a lot less, sorry you don’t approve oh wait idgaff

I’ve had every single streaming service at least once and YoutubeTV was the best of them all. What makes it a shite service?

Does sling also know, the more they raise their rates, people will move on?

They have, twice recently, when this contract dispute went down and I lost espn/sec, that was last straw. Out like a fat kid in dodgeball, canceled yesterday. In every business there is elasticity in pricing and a limit where consumers will move to other options. Unless they figure this out quickly without an large price increase they need to brace to lose market share.
