To be fair, Daniels looked like he was on his way to being a top 5 QB during his rookie season.

No he didn't. 1 good season doesn't mean you're on your way being top 5. But he went to lsu so he's gotta be the best player and god forbid anyone say something bad.

Rg3 had a good rookie year, won ROY. Daniels is RG3 2.0.

The coach didn’t make him throw it away on 4th down and then ground it and take a sack two plays in a row on the last drive of the game

don't forget his time management skills in OT last week.

I've never seen a player just throw the ball away and out of bounds on fourth down unless the QB knows that the defense had a penalty during the play
It happens much more than you think, then.

the dumbass rookie OC was sending the WRs on Hail Mary routes

This might be the dumbest take in this thread

1 - Wash was at the 25 yd line. Hardly Hail Mary routes. In fact, all the WRs had reached the EZ before JD0 attempted to throw

2 - JD0, the speediest QB in the league, made no attempt to avoid a 4-man rush. Zero. He ot hit almost exactly where he ended his dropback. In fact, there was no defender between him and the 10 yd line, on the right side

Face it, he panicked. He was not going to risk an int on his stats. Even with the game on the line. Which is easily confirmed by his actions toward LSU because HE alone won the Heisman.

Yet LSU won nothing in return

Didn't Namath do it once trying to stop the clock?

Take a walk. You don’t run 4 verticals in that situation especially when the oline is playing like shite. You hit someone on the sidelines to get you a little closer to the end zone ideally. Coaching malpractice. You send one receiver on a fade route on the outside, another runs a hitch, one runs a seam up the middle and the other a quick corner route. Not 4…verticals. They take time to develop and you’re out of timeouts. You sound almost as dumb as Blough.

Blough’s fundamental flaw is he didn’t assume his qb is retarded

He seems to be following the RG3 script a little too closely:

Heisman winner
Dual Threat
2nd overall pick to Washington
Offensive Rookie of the Year
Injuries (albeit different) after great rookie year
(we are here)

RG3 - never fully recovered
JD# - ???
