Do you think a one loss SEC team can get in the title game ahead of

an undefeated FSU team given their schedule next season.
I'm debating this with a friend who's a FSU fan and he claims there's no way FSU will be left out of the title game if they go undefeated.
I say given their easy schedule a one loss SEC team would go before them.

I think they could
matters who they lose to and when they lose

Maybe if it's Alabama, whose one loss comes to LSU on the road.
They like giving Alabama rematches against LSU, so I wouldn't doubt it.

Also matters who else is undefeated. If no one else is, SEC one loss is going to go. Nowadays, if a major program like FSU is undefeated, they are going to go to the NC. But if there are 2 undefeated teams and neither of which are SEC teams then they get shutout. But really I see no way in which a one loss SEC team would get in over a zero loss FSU.

If Alabama gets another rematch against LSU next season, I'm going to murder everyone on this planet.

Lots of SEC hate out there. I just don't see a team with a loss jumping an unbeaten next year.

This, but most likely not.

If the other fricking conferences could just do their jobs and put out one undefeated team between the 5 of them, we wouldn't have had that god damn problem last year.
Just talking about this is getting me pissed off.

I somewhat agree, but say LSU is undefeated, preseason #1, #1 by the SEC championship game and lose in that game. Also, FSU is undefeated and ranked #2. LSU would drop behind FSU. Now if they were #3 and undefeated, that is where it gets complicated. And at this point, it would probably be a tossup.

Lot of variables here that could make it go either way. I think the SEC team would be ahead in the computer polls; so, as usual, it would come down to the voters. Which means:
when and who the SEC loss was to
which SEC team it is, face it pedigree matters
how strong the first place team is [because this scenario only makes sense if FSU is no. 2]...
So, if the no. 1 team is weak and is sharing first place votes with FSU, I don't think the third team jumps them.

I would agree with this. Weak schedule or not, the BCS likes unbeaten BCS-conference teams.

Probably not.... But they probably will beat UF again, for the third straight year.

I still can't believe ok state lost to fricking Iowa state.
LSU would have murdered ok state.

I doubt it. FSU has that name power. They'll choke a few away anyway like always so it's a moot point.

Not saying that FSU shouldn't make the BCSNC but they should definitely be punished in the ratings for playing 2 FCS teams.

you probably have to qualify which SEC team and how the commentators go hot or cold on FSU as the year progresses
I think a name program like Bama or maybe LSU would have a shot if FSU doesn't blow people out and they win the SEC. Obviously we saw the voters choose a SEC team #2 even tho they lost at home this year - so people can do what they want with their ballots
