and LSU fans emotionally want to roster 2 players who will have minimal impact on the season and risk being left out of the CFP.

Who has advocating rostering them at this point? That will only happen if this lawsuit is thrown out.

Just cut the 2 guys loose and move on. Low risk, maximum reward. That was always the smart play.
Cut them loose from what? They aren’t rostered.
You calling other people emotional is funny. You don’t even seem to understand where everyone stands here.

Which part?
I already cited to you the CFP's quotes on the matter directly addressing LSU's actions. So that's not made up.
Or are you claiming LSU fans aren't arguing to roster the 2 players?

We did.
The SEC continued to escalate.

SFP, regardless if you want to admit how wrong you are or not, the SEC is currently talking about taking a vote right now to vote lsu out without play breaking a rule
That’s a fact. Your future hypotheticals are irrelevant. What’s actually factually happening is what is relevant

LSU can continue to follow the rules and not roster the players while also telling the sec to frick off with their threats and ridiculous citations in their lawsuit. And particularly frick off with their apology demand.

There are literally countless threads on the rant arguing we should do that
And we haven't cut ties with them yet

From any association or contact with LSU athletics. They can be normal LSU students if they want.

That could summarize most of this thread tbh
I was mainly just pointing out that making the SECCG is more of a negative than a positive for a playoff contender these days, unless you’re on the outside looking in, which partly is why playoff expansion in the way it’s unfolded, sucks donkey dick

The point is to eliminate the path via conference championship. The SEC champ gets into the CFP automatically. If LSU isn't allowed to win the SEC, then CFP has no obligation to select them.

There’s not really many people that are ride or die about rostering the players, no.

At which point the players will sue, and win, just like the Missouri player did.
Don’t you pretend to be a lawyer on here?

This is exactly what will happen until the SEC’s lawsuit is settled.
If it’s tossed or the asEC loses the players will be rostered the following day.

They already sued, and the ruling only binds LSU if LSU rosters them, right?
That's why we haven't rostered them yet. We don't want to get into that Catch 22

I’ll believe when I see it
This threat actually leads me to believe they may have more on LSU than we know. Expulsion for actually not rostering the players the SEC told us not to makes zero sense. So maybe there’s more.
Wouldn’t be shocked if we at least see a Kiffin suspension.

You’re the one that cosplays as a lawyer here. You tell me.

So LSU needn’t take any further action. They’re complying with all SEC rules, as it stands.
Tell me why they should “cut them loose” again?

Which shows that we have institutional control and aren’t going to go against the SEC however if the SEC loses we rightfully so should take these players.
We did our best to lower the temperature and the SEC threw gasoline on it today because our coach made a sarcastic comment.
Screw Sankey.

We would have avoided all of this silliness and ego and had no threats to our chances at the CFP or SEC reprisal.

So you're not going to discuss seriously. You threw up that flag a page or 2 ago. Understood.

We would have been doing that had we cut ties with the players entirely

The CFP isn’t going to exclude a team that has broken zero rules.
Don’t be dumb.

You’re a clown. Why should you be taken seriously?
