I think you're intentionally avoiding the context of when Ohio St. made those final fours. I think there is a recency component to a teams accomplishments that should matter (otherwise Minnesota would be a blue blood football school and we all know that's laughable).

Don't get me wrong, 2 in the past 15 years is really good, but you've got that pesky 40 year window with nothing. And I bet if I looked real hard I could find a post from you on here arguing that Michigan is not relevant in football because they haven't been to or won a national championship in decades.

Duke
Kentucky
UNC
UCLA
Mich St
Villanova
Indiana and Louisville have been knocked out that top tier group as of lately.

I will die on a hill to disagree with this given the basketball culture on Indiana and what its flagship university represents to the sport, as long as Assembly Hall's still there and those players still wear those candy cane striped pants IU will never die as a blue blood

The program with the most all-time wins, 15 Final Fours, most consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, 108 NCAA tournament wins doesn't make your top 6?

Kansas is definitely a blue blood. Any list that doesn't have them is incomplete or a brain fart.

That ranking also has Western Kentucky in the top 25. No. I'm not joking.

Imo:
Blue bloods: Kentucky, UNC, UCLA, Duke, Kansas, and Indiana.
Borderline: Louisville, UConn, Villanova
Cincinnati and Michigan State the next up to the borderline category.

Pretty sure Kansas has 5 titles. 2 of them are pre tournament, but they are relevant when considering program history in a blue blood conversation

Those 2 extra “titles” are based on a retroactive poll.

Kansas big claim is claiming they're the closest to the origin of basketball than any other college programs and even had an alumnus buy the original rules of Basket Ball.
They define their blueblood status through Naismith more so than titles.
But they're in the group that when you think of college basketball...
That group is pretty easily recognizable despite all this squabbling...
When you think of CBB you think:
Kentucky, UNC, UCLA, Indiana, Duke and Kansas.
This isn't really debatable. That's the list, that's it. No one thinks of Ohio State despite the claims on this board. Might as well think of Oregon and the "Tall Firs."
