If so, does that ever factor into them trading for/signing players?

Would they allow Johnny cueto to keep the dreads?

It’s crazy in this day and age to expect these guys to shave every day

Some players won’t sign for a team that makes them shave or cut their hair. Andrew Cashner said that played a factor during his free agency.

They’ve relaxed it in the past for certain players. They let David Wells wear a goatee for example.

I remember the Reds having a strict grooming policy. I remember Dave Parker having to shave off his beard entirely (no facial hair at all).

With Pirates --

He was almost unrecognizable as a Red --

But I don't remember a strict policy with the Yankees --

They allow facial hair as long as it is neatly groomed, believe they have a hair length as well.

MLB teams should have a ‘no visible tatoos’ rule.

This isn’t a trashy league like the NBA and NFL.
