What a crock of shite! I hate soccer.

I don't give a crap if it is the most popular sport in the world. I hate it. Can't stand to watch a minute of it.

You may think people that hate soccer are dumb but I hate smug jackasses like you.

After watching his first world cup game on TV, my four year old son, who loves playing soccer, said "real soccer is slow." I'll leave it at that. How the frick can you get excited about a game that last an hour and a half and can end up in a 1-1, 0-0 tie?

They could make the games more interesting by going straight to penalty kicks (or allow the players to have razor blades in their shoes).

I don't particularly love watching soccer, but it is a legitimate sport. No different than basketball, baseball, or golf. Yet, time and time again you hear "that" guy say something along the lines of "soccer is for figs." Grow up and quit trying to say things that make you look cool.

Do you have any idea what a total douchebag you sound like? You sound worse and over generalize far more than anyone that simply hates soccer.

I hate soccer and I say none of these things you have listed. I just can't stand watching it. Plain and simple.

Maybe you sir are the one that should grow the frick up.

England is much superior to the US talent wise. I didn't think we would win that game either, especially after their first goal.

and that right there says it all about the sport of soccer for me...it was a hard match to win after the opposing team scored ONCE

how about if I'm indifferent to it, except to watch the US team in the Olympics or the World Cup every 4 years or so, when I remember to watch?

My son nailed it on the head and he is only four. I can watch him run around the back yard dribbling and it accomplishes the same thing for 90% of most soccer games, nothing is happening. They should get rid of yellow cards for fouls and let the players beat the shite out of each other like in hockey.

There is only one reason this game is so popular around the world: you don't need any equipment besides a round/semi-round object to play the game. The game is perfect for the "disadvantaged". Kids in slums in Central/South America can play it, around dirt houses in Africa or on a river bank in India.

You don't have any respect for a sport that takes a ton of coordination, natural athletic ability, and skill to to play.

Soccer is a beautiful game to me. It's basically like watching a physical chess match. I appreciate the little things about it.

You may think it's boring, and that's fine.

But the majority of the rest of the world does not. You are the minority and it's because you are an american. It's not a high status sport here.

Well, maybe if you're David beckham.
