Were you there for the match Saturday? People we both know were. I was supposed to go, but I heard it was Fred's-packed and I was too hungry for that shite.
Yeah, I was there all day... it was packed for the USA match for sure, will certainly be less so this time, with it at 9 AM instead of 1:30, and on a Friday.

How would us supporting it more make the players better?

What needs to happen is for the MLS to develop to a point where they are paying comprable wages to players that the top European teams do. Soccer is not seen as a "way out" sport in the US. If that ever happens you will end up seeing atheletes like a Chris Paul or Deion Sanders perhaps picking soccer.

I see your point..But I don't think they can pay until something huge happens. AKA a WC championship.

Soccer isn't seen as a way to get rich in the US. If, and it is a big if, it does a different outlook will occur.

How many starters on the US WC team play in the MLS? Landon Donovan, that is it. The MLS needs to slowly grow and expand. Winning a World Cup isn't going to keep our best players here. This will take well over a decade and probably much longer.

Defending soccer for this many pages is sad. Really really sad. It's obvious that most of us agree that soccer is super gay. If you play it and enjoy it, no big deal. But it says a lot about a man who "chooses" soccer over a real sport. Kinda like how you don't "choose" to be gay, it chooses you. It's the bottom of the food chain. Playing soccer just prepares you for never being able to score in real life.

For the retard that posted something about not making the soccer team- are there actually tryouts for soccer teams growing up? Do people not make it? How do you not make it? Everyone thinks soccer is gay and boring. Not making the soccer team is beyond embarrassing.

Any sport where the best you can hope for when less than 5% of the game has been played is a game that I hate.

Obviously you've never really watched soccer or played it. The reason people said that is because England is much superior to the US talent wise. I didn't think we would win that game either, especially after their first goal.
