Sorry Chicken the other streaming platforms can't hold a candle to YTTV and the multiscreen technology.
I agree, but what are we watching on our quad box this weekend? I love YYTV, but I'm making the jump this weekend to Direct TV.

I can't believe people are feeling sorry for YouTube TV/Google...
I can't believe people are backing Disney's obvious play for a monopoly/trying to get people to drop YouTube TV to switch to their app Hulu Live. It's crazy to me to back Disney in this situation.

Disney's entertainment divisions have been, to be kind, massively underperforming. A more accurate description would probably be "hemorrhaging money". So they aren't in as good of a position as past years.

I turn Fubo on labor day keep it for six months, pause it until football season starts again. I like that it still records all the shows when it is paused.
Disney stock was down 8% today on sales misses, also reported that they are losing $30 million per week over youtube.

Iger has been terrible for Disney.
Not only has he hurt the business, he has severely damaged the brand.

Not being able to watch college football has stung a lot less this year
Why do people act like YTTV is the only provider? Or, why do you need a cable provider at all? Just get the new ESPN app, Paramount+, Peacock and an antenna. Cheaper and you can watch the same shite.

Well, for me in particular, I don't care enough about football when my teams are bad to bother getting other services.

It has the best interface and features of any of the streaming apps

It’s also annoying to constantly flip through apps when you want to “change channels” and , in the case of an antenna, switch back and forth from an app to your antenna.

Disney has 100% of the leverage here. Google is richer, but it’s not like Disney is dependent on streaming. Disney is gaining direct subscribers through all this.
That’s not the point. There’s a reason Disney has been running ads telling people to pressure YTTV to make a deal instead of running ads telling people to sign up for the espn app.
Before this month, YTTV had 10 million subscribers who all paid ~ $12/month to Disney even if they never watched any Disney content.
Let’s be aggressive and say 2 million of those are college football fans who drop YTTV and pay $30/month to Disney directly. That is only $60 million/month in revenue which doesn’t offset the $120 million they are losing from all the casual YTTV subscribers.
Also, those sports fans are more likely to cancel during the offseason so the annual revenue numbers are probably even worse for Disney.
Not saying YTTV will win, but Disney is absolutely doing this to get more money out of Alphabet, not drive people to other platforms.

I doubt they’re gaining enough subscribers to offset the 10 million subs they’ve lost with the dispute with YTTV

No, they don’t

Everyone that has kids probably already has Disney plus, so it’s not that hard to add Hulu or espn unlimited at this point. They’ve cornered the market here.
It’s no easier to add Hulu whether you had Disney+ prior or not.

Are they? Disney has 100% of the leverage here. Google is richer, but it’s not like Disney is dependent on streaming.
Of the $102B in revenue they made in Q3 alone only 10% comes from Google Subscriptions which includes YouTube TV but also things like YT premium, Google Play etc.
While 18% of Disney’s $23.6B Q3 revenue comes from their sports segment.
Google is much more prepared to weather the storm
