If tweet fails to load, click here. Apparently after Bateman got hurt, they asked Johnson to come in and he refused. Unclear why but that dude's been a cancer everywhere he's been. I get the talent, but he's not worth the headache.

I know the Ravens needed another receiver, but I don’t see how coaches or teammates can trust a guy after he does something like this. The Ravens should just cut him and move on.

The Steelers absolutely robbed the Panthers when the send Johnson there for Donte Jackson. Sent a WR with bad hands, that averaged around 500 yards per year off and got a solid starting DB in return.
Fun fact: Jackson has 3 more interceptions than Johnson has catches since he joined the Ravens.

I would be pissed off too if Nelson Agholor was getting snaps over me. Agholor has been awful this season.

And yet the Woke FL will just keep giving guys like this opportunity. Makes no sense.

"Thanks!"

Probably rather sit him than let Chiefs or Bills grab him

Can't they just move him to the practice squad and let him effectively disappear?

True, but Diontae is still new to this team. It’s going to take a little time for him to get fully integrated into the offense. Refusing to enter the game certainly doesn’t earn a guy more snaps.

All players are subject to waivers at this point in the season if cut. He would need to be waived, and if gone unclaimed, he would have the ability to sign to their practice squad, but they can’t “assign” him there.
They don’t want to cut him and allow him to sign with another contender or claimed by another team, which could also recoup the compensation pick if he ended up leaving and getting a decent contract next year, and the ravens don’t play about their compensation picks and using the formula to get as many as possible.
Most teams in these situations just make these players healthy scratches, this feels like a message to try to get him to get with the program. So I’m guessing if he becomes a distraction any further they’ll cut him but they’ll try to get away with not doing so, even if just to avoid him signing with the chiefs or Bills

Good call about the compensatory pick.
I doubt another team would pick him up due to his baggage, but who knows.

What is it exactly with Pittsburgh and their receivers going crazy.

Release him. These spoiled brats make too much money to refuse to do their job. I wonder how many of us would stay employed if we refused to do our jobs?
