LSU made the title game with Jordan, fricking Jefferson and A NFL caliber defense The committee logic is flawed. A good defense can carry back quarterback. It happens all the time. Their argument is ignore all the crap These teams look like over the course of the season. Just look at this week.

They’re not one of the top 4 without their QB, but apparently they’re better than UGA without their QB?

This is my favorite part about their rankings

The committee is full of shite and was totally influenced by the media. ESPN controls this sport.

TCU just made the cfp last year after losing their conference championship game. Georgia doesn't get that courtesy.

They absolutely are. What would LSU look like this year without Daniels?

Yep, screw all those other guys that busted their tails all year.

FSU got hosed.

Like I said, I’ll welcome the expansion going forward and hopefully minimizing greatly these political/beauty contests.

ut Bama's okay looking like shite against a 6 - 6 Auburn team that lost to New Mexico State? Louisville doesn't have a loss that matches that level.

Bama looked a hell of a lot better beating back to back national champion Georgia

They aren't one of the four best teams today. It is what it is.

Thought this whole expansion thing was about removing subjectivity?

As long as there is a committee there is going to be subjectivity involved.

I don't get why all these people are arguing about the rational of Alabama getting in.

It is very simple.

More people will turn on their TVs to watch Alabama vs. Michigan than FSU with a backup QB vs. Michigan therefore the TV network makes more money from advertisers.

Call me cynical but I would not be surprised if the comitee members are pressured or even bribed to make that choice.

It is that simple, the four teams they put in are meant to make tv networks the most money. They will always put those teams in if there is any arguable spin they can cover that fact up with.

That simple.

The committee has very little respect for the ACC. That’s really what it’s about.

Which is interesting when you look at ACC vs SEC head to head this year.

“Best” is subjective of course in determining the final four.

I’m curious as to many opinions on this board a few short years ago had a talented and undefeated LSU TEAM been denied the right to compete for a championship if star QB Burrow been injured.

You’re correct though - it is what it is.

Feel terrible for FSU.

Hopefully the expansion going forward will greatly reduce these types of discussions.
