My favorite player on the Bulls besides MJ and Pippen. Dude was deadly from beyond the 3pt line.

I remember when he was playing at Arizona with Lute, and the whole crowd used to yell, "STEVE KERR!" It was cool.

I'm sick of these dick measuring threads between LJ and MJ. Two different players and two different styles.

Yes Jordan did have the greatest supporting cast ever. What other team could win 55 games after losing the best player in the NBA?

The Eastern Conference was a joke when the 76ers made the finals that year not to mention the 76ers were winning in large part due to their defense playing at an elite level. The Eastern Conference was also terrible when Lebron took the Cavs to the NBA finals in 2007 but that's another matter entirely.

frick you Iverson = GOAT

ETA: yes I'm joking

He had a great #2 in Pippen (good enough to be #1 anywhere else maybe) and a bunch of guys who were great role players and replaceable parts.

Pretty much as I remember it. IMHO, MJ didn't have a great supporting cast beyond Pippen. I think those two allowed them to utilize a whole bunch of (limited skilled) others.

You are thinking of 86. But look what happened in 89, Bird got injured and even though the Celtics basically replaced him with an All Star(Reggie Lewis) they still sucked winning just 42 games without Bird that year.

No comparison to the Bulls

It was a combination of a few things. #1, the Bulls were really lucky in '94. The Bulls won only two fewer games in 1994 than they did in 1993 but their point differential was significantly better in '93 than it was in '94. They were fortunate to win so many close games in 1994. #2, the Bulls added Toni Kukoc which made up for some of the scoring that they lost after Jordan retired. They also added some really nice role players like Steve Kerr and Bill Wennington so their bench was far stronger and deeper in '94 than it was at any time during the first three-peat run. #3, Phil Jackson is the greatest coach of all-time. #4, Scottie Pippen took his game to another level in 1994 as the #1 option on that team. So did Horace Grant for that matter.

Horace Grant was pretty solid for some of those Bulls teams.

Bill Russell. I think there were six Hall of Famers on that Celtics team.

Magic is #2. That Lakers team was staaaaaacked.

Everyone makes a big deal about LeBron being a great passer, making everyone around him better, but what Magic did was a thing of beauty. Seems like he gets left out of that conversation. LeBron has a ways to go to get to that level
