This. He and Kobe are very similar in this respect.
Kobe can't take a joke or criticism? What planet do you live on?
You don't recall his response to him being called out for promoting Call of Duty or this?
Or Kobe immediately forgiving Larry Nance for calling him a rapist.

actually given a shite about practicing his FTs he would easily be considered the GOAT player by the vast majority of basketball fans.
Shaq couldn't score outside of 2 feet of the basket. He was never in consideration for GOAT.

Shaq needs to lighten up.
He doesn't know how to do this when he's the target.

Yeah, Shaq brings some ego the table on Inside the NBA, but this is him at his worst.

As a LSU fan and alum, I love Shaq. I think the Shaq Diesel is a great representative and ab all-time great NBA player.
That said, he comes across as petty. Him and Barkley's two personas just don't gel.

I’m glad that people are finally realizing who Shaq really is...
A charitable, fun loving, funny guy who was competitive as hell and is easily one of the top 10 to ever play?

They gel just fine. Shaq is funny as hell on inside the NBA.
Let's not pretend that Barkley doesn't say stupid shite on the regular either.
If you're going to nitpick arguably the greatest sports show on tv, you're just not going to be happy.

I enjoy them, but they are both stubborn and hard headed. When they do get in arguments like this, neither one packs down. It gets uncomfortable to me.

You can find examples of Shaq laughing at himself for Kazaam or JB trading him instead of paying him again - but that doesn't take away from the larger point that he (and Kobe) both had monstrous egos that together ended the Laker dynasty. When it comes to people talking about their their games or their places in history neither was very accepting of anything other than praise.
The Phil Jackson criticisms of both still seem relevant to me and it took some time (years) for those to be swallowed even though they were pretty obviously true.

It's awkward because I feel like Shaq is only half joking when he responds to Chuck's barbs.

Oh Shaq is serious, Chuck is the one that’s joking and chill about it.

Barkley really kept his composure there. Good look for him. Hard to dislike Sir Charles.

Shaq just needs to relax and stop being so defensive. Instead of getting upset just smile and laugh then respond. Chuck is relishing in Shaq’s sensitivity.

I don't think the show would suffer much at all if they were to replace Shaq.

Shaq and Chuck both have huge egos but Chuck's reaction to getting made fun of is to laugh and roll with the punches. Shaq gets his feelings hurt, really easily.

Exactly.

In a weird way, I feel like that’s part of what made Shaq such a great player. When people said he wasn’t trying or didn’t care, he would get pissed off and actually work to prove them wrong.
It’s like the same thing with James Harden’s defense. He was terrible, people mocked him, so he got better at it.
And I also left out earlier how Shaq blamed Kobe for his divorce too, so Shaq has nothing to back up his claims from last night.
