I don’t disagree with much or any of that.
But I also think they were feeling things out and I expect Brady to have a massive season this year.

wouldn't shock me at all.
He has Father Time's number to his credit.

So where do you think he should be ranked? Since it is a projection list, projecting him to be the 2nd best player next year isn’t at all far fetched
Well it’s not a projection list, it’s ranked based off last season.
Even with that, he showed he was taking a step back last season. His game is predicated on being an athletic freak compared to others and it’s extremely rare for a guy to maintain his power and explosion after 30.
For last season? I’d have him outside of my top 10 probably still in my top 20 or so. He won DPotY on reputation, not because of his quality of play in the season. Even PFF - who completely idolizes the guy and will overlook any and all decencies in his game - noted his decline in play. He was at a Pro Bowl level last season but really not All-Pro and definitely not DPotY material.

Yet CMac is on this list isn’t he? It’s a projection list

He had the 2nd most sacks of his career

Do YOU actually watch his tape? I’m talking every snap? Yet somehow, despite his numbers not indicating it, you think he dropped off?

Can’t even bother to check yourself for an easy searchable statement? Yet somehow you studied his tape enough to notice a decline in play?
PFF ranked him as the no.1 player in the league for last year.
PFF in January 2021:
quote:
Donald led the league in total pressures last season with 98, the third time in four seasons he has led the league in that category. He is the only full-time interior defender we have ever seen lead the league in pressure, since J.J. Watt played more snaps on the edge than the interior in the two seasons he led the league in pressure. Donald’s biggest perceived weakness is the run game, but he has been the best-graded interior lineman against the run over the last three seasons.

Yeah an interior guy with 13.5 sacks didn’t play at an All-Pro level

Lol you calling Donald an interior player and asking me if I watched him play last year? Okay skipper lol
He didn’t have 98 total pressures last year at all. They pulled that number out of their asses and he had the fewest tfls in his career too. Plus he’s back to being a mediocre run defender as well. It’s no coincidence that the best season of his career coincided with Suh’s one season with the Rams.

He’s not completely an interior guy but he’s not an edge rusher either.

Barely. He’s had 3 other seasons with just 1-3 more TFLs. You’re acting like this is a giant drop off from his usual numbers. He had the 2nd most sacks of his career and more QB hits than 3 other seasons. See I can pick numbers to help my argument too. Is that what your entire “analysis” is based around?

You know this because?

You’re trying to completely negate PFF now even though you incorrectly used them by saying “even they think he’s declined” line.

Read their posts about them throughout the season, not just year end where they beat off to the same group of players they inexplicably Stan for no matter what.

Are you going to give me proof or are you pulling things out of your arse like you usually do on this board?
Donald was on their mid-season All-Pro team too.
quote:
In a shock to absolutely nobody, Aaron Donald remains not just one of the game’s best defenders but arguably the best player in the league. He leads the NFL with 48 total pressures, and despite claims that his run defense is a weakness, he has the third-best PFF run-defense grade of any interior defender this season. Donald remains a force that can be quietened in impact only by a concerted effort and game plan each week.
I’m still curious how you are so certain Donald’s play has dropped off a lot. To the point where you can’t fathom how his peers would project him as the no.2 overall player next year.

He might have an Excel spreadsheet, too.

He’s not only the best RB in the NFL, he’s the best offensive position player/non QB in the league.

Pride gets a lot of hate and I don’t always agree with him, but he’s good at arguing. This guy is the opposite. They only thing they have in common is they both love to argue frequently on this board.

You better pull it out soon. I hear onlyfans is going straight edge.

It took Henry 3 more games to surpass fournettes yardage totals
And 87 more touches for Henry and only 104 more yards
Sorry we didn't let Henry pad his stats against our non Power 5 teams in 2015. Both went up against 9 Power 5 teams in the regular season. Henry had 1,581 yards 16TDs and Fournette had 1,358 yards 14TDs. But congrats on LF's 233 yards against Eastern Michigan I guess.
