I could only imagine how much those high school kids were shitting their pants lined up against him knowing they’re about to get smoked

NFL players didn’t opt out Forrest

But one day he'll be as good as Leonard Fournette.

Would have been a great linebacker per Will Muschamp
To be fair, I think he would've been a badass LB and Will Muschamp is a defensive guy by trade.

Unreal that Derrick Henry has been able to stay healthy for the vast majority of his career. Freak.

All of this, also on average LB have longer pro careers, Henry being over 30 and playing at an elite level at RB is an outlier, 1st ballot hall of famer no doubt

And just think, Henry's only around 60% of what Emmit Smith has. Emmit did it in 14 years. That's mind-boggling.

Anyone think Henry can break it?

I just saw this graphic. He could possible work his way to 3rd place on this list by the end of this season or early next season.

It’s pretty wild that he didn’t get drafted til the 2nd round

I’m real dumb and even I’m less dumb than every NFL GM that year

In high school he broke the record that was set by Ken Hall of Sugarland, Texas in the 1950’s.
Hall’s record was one that I thought unattainable and would never be broken. I did a dance when he signed with Saban.
Hall’s college coach was Coach Bryant at A&M but he never quite panned out. Bryant said in his book that he regretted that he wished he had taken a different path to motivate him.

Between HS, Bama, and the NFL the dude has more mileage than maybe any 31 year old ever

Yet he keeps ticking

It’s incredible

Whoever had the fun of tackling DH in HS should be given an award. Not for the faint of heart.

Given the number of yards it appears nobody tackled him in high school.
