Mike Lombardi said today that he heard Deion was already putting together a staff and that he claimed Colorado had $12M in NIL money ready to go to work in portal/recruting.
Their professors are gonna be so pissed if they start buying players and their pussy admin will probably listen to them.

Well I guess the #1 player from last year will transfer to Colorado

I think USF would have been a better spot. The talent in Florida he would recruit would be insane

That is a good job for Dieon. He can use his fame to build a program in a beautiful please to live. All the mary jane recruits want to smoke. Plus, it would not take a mountain of talent to make him a winner in the Pac-12. Deon could get that talent just on his name alone with NIL. If he could pull some 3 star talent into Colorado, the Buff might be something to contend with and Deon has shown he can pull 5 star talent to worse places (Jackson State).

I wonder how many players will follow him there or if they're pissed and go elsewhere.

quote:The money at P5 schools is insane when compared to SWAC schools( Athletic department budgets range from $10-$15 million per year or so) . But this still proves that the SWAC & HBCU'S can be relevant.
Money talks, anyone who says otherwise is a liar.
Deion reportedly makes about 300k a year. When you have multiple people offering you salaries of 3 million dollars.
Todd Bowles got his start at Grambling & is now a SB winning Coach . Jay Hopson ( Alcorn) got the HC job at USM. Willie Simmons ( FAMU) is a candidate for FAU & USF jobs. Now Sanders perhaps a P5 job.
I really hope Sanders succeeds in Colorado & show prospective young coaches that HBCUs aren't dead end jobs.

I wonder if he turned down playing in the FCS Playoffs - because he was nervous if he won in Round 1 or 2, he wouldn't be able to split as fast.

What he did for HBCUs is a good thing, but why does it have to be a negative if he leaves for a better opportunity. Jackson State sure has benefited very well from him being there...
