People like John Daly because he's a cartoon character and was an elite golfer while looking like a complete redneck slob. His antics were entertaining and still are.
I enjoyed his self-parody in Happy Gilmore 2.

There are actual legit Klan members who cheer hard as shite for their college football teams
Did you just make this up? Or can you prove it?
I’ve rarely traveled north of I-10 my entire life, and I’ve yet to see anything remotely KKK related anywheres and I’ve damn sure never seen anyone in the KKK openly root for ANY sports team - I vaguely remember the KKK showing up at ole miss during the BLM shite but that’s about it

And thinking that someone is racist because they don’t like Deion frickin Sanders or the way he acts is also very naive

And do you think it’s the same people?
I think a lot of the same people love both, yes.

If the black players aren’t outspoken, then the people you describe are likely satisfied with the players. If they are, then sadly all hell breaks loose.
Again, maybe this has more to do with someone not liking the way Deion is, as opposed to not liking him because he’s black
There’s a big difference there, but the usual race hustlers like yourself just glance right over that

Deion loved being the cocky villain as a player. He showboated, taunted, and talked trash. He thrived on that persona his entire career. He was like that in college, too. That's why most of the people who hate him do

Dude, they were 9-3. They beat teams that are on a similar level as them as OSU/Arizona/Baylor/Texas Tech. Most people on this board predicted them to finish at the bottom of the standings
Doesn't mean anything to me with Colorado weak arse schedule. Hell WVU also went 9-3 the season before with a tougher schedule and they still fired Neal Brown. So going 9-3 in the big 12 with a Heisman QB is not at all impressive.

Ok fine, then I won't use records. That guy needs to them explain to me how turning a 1-11 team into a 9-4 team in two years makes him a bad coach.
Well, if LSU dropped into a weaker conference made up if nearly half mid-majors from a P5 conference and had free transfers, it would have been 12-0 under DiNardo year one.
If Saban has the current structure when he took over at Bama in 2007, they likely don’t go 7-6 and instead are 10-2 to 12-0.
The current structure is completely different than at anytime in history.
Bear Bryant benefitted because he was able to prevent his opponents from top tier recruits by taking all of them and then having transfer restrictions and no roster limits.
You can’t compare two eras that are so vastly different.

That’s my point. I think there is a very large contingent of people that think “John Daly is awesome man” aren’t too keen on Mike
How on earth can you even come close to quantifying this?
You know who likes John Daly, remember who they are, then also remember their opinions of John Daly while noting their support/non-support of Mike Tyson??
That’s insane for someone, yes even you, to try to pass on as a fact.

Hope Deion ha a speedy recovery. I may not but his “greatness” as a coach that some on here seem to see, but he was an amazing player and has been successful as a coach.

Yea, on a personal level I hope Deion beats this and has a normal remainder of his life. I initially rooted for him when he took the Colorado job. I loved his stance on players being in class, doing the right thing, and his disdain for the players always being on their phones while in meetings and shite. But eventually his antics became a little too much for me. I wasn’t openly rooting for him to fail or anything, but I’m not sure I would have wanted my child to be at Colorado playing for him during his tenure there
If nothing else, the father in me wants him to stick around and enjoy his kids’ time in the NFL. Also would hate for Shadeur to lose his father

The rules are different but everyone is playing the same game.
While everyone has the same rules, they greatly help bad teams at storied programs get better more quickly than they help others.
It can make a decent coach look like they made some amazing turn around in historical terms but the new rules greatly helped that.
Same reason BK was able to fix O’a mess so quickly at LSU to win the West in year one. If he was in the days of DiNardo at LSU, he is going 6-6 or 7-5 at best that year and likely 3-5 in the SEC.

That doesn’t mean it’s racism or something “needs to be fixed”

Yeah, he looked at this years roster and got sick. 2-10 inbound.
Hey, I don’t know if you heard, but he had bladder cancer. Not a good look.

I think most of us were thinking he was going to have a medical situation, probably with his foot/leg and medically retire. Good for him coaching next season. Even with all the medical issues.

No, no… answer my question please
How did you come to the conclusion that the same ones who love John Daly, at the same time, hate Deion Sanders
For a man that always has his facts straight, this shouldn’t be hard. And no, I’m not being facetious here, I’m actually complimenting you. I don’t always agree with you, but you normally come with something to back yourself up. I wanna hear this one

Much tougher schedule this year. I see about 7-8 losses, if he is still coaching at the end of the season.

that was just because of the transfer portal, not because LSU was helped by being a more storied program. Orgeron also hilariously underperformed post-national title. But since you mentioned DInardo, he shared the west title in year 2 and finished 10-2 after he came into a situation where LSU had had 6 straight losing seasons.
