Caruso also had an all time game.
Spurs missing their PG were sloppy down the stretch with turnovers..
Never good to overreact to a Game 1. Adjustments , or lack of, will decide the series.

Spurs deserved to win the game as they lead nearly the entire game. The Thunder’s biggest lead of the game was only 3 points and that only happened a couple of times.
Thunder lost because Chet Holmgren was flat out awful. He played 40 minutes and scored 8 points. Wemby got 41. You cant lose that matchup 41-8. Plus Chet gave up several key corner 3s on extremely slow close outs. If he’s gonna be that unproductive and you are leaving Caruso on Wemby anyway you better go small and cover the Spurs 3 pt shooters.

I know this is way premature but…..if we are watching one of the all-time greats, how long does this kid stay in San Antonio?

Dude would be dumb to leave San Antonio. Unlike Duncan, he can carry a team consistently. Imagine Wemby playing with 4 HoF’ers in their primes most of his career.

Some folks don't understand why okc lost last night.
Wemby wrecks a lot of shite they love doing. Chet is a good not great player that's still very young, and cannot match up with wemby.
Shai can't dominate the paint like he loves to do, because of Wemby.
Okc can't shut the paint down with their bigs, because of wemby.
If they get Fox back to help set their offense, this could be a very short series.

SGA had multiple looks that he knocks down 60-70% of the time. Besides Caruso, OKC came out very flat first half after being off for a week. They will be ok in game 2. Epic game 1.

We lost this game up 3. Went down with ball and took a dumb quick 3 try and missed. Wemby gets ball and makes logo 3. That was idiotic to take the 3. Any points wins game.
SA was more aggressive too and rewarded at FT line. Just 2 simple correctable things of many. SGA has’t played well since Suns series. 8 games in 40 days as well, very rusty. SA had playing momentum but I think the fresher legs pay off over the series.
Wed game is big. Win Wed and then just need to steal 1 to get home court back.
Lots of series left and that game was really fun. Two best teams going at it.

Why would he leave. They've got Dylan Harper, who I think looks like a future all-NBA guy. Stephon Castle is a talented young guard. And DeAaron Fox is only 28,
I don't get the vibe that Wemby is "hollywood". He just seems like a guy that wants to dominate everyone on the basketball court and then go home.
