So I'm guessing this guy actually believes all this shite he's saying.. Manti obviously planned this entire thing with his friend (that dude with the spiky hair) in order to get attention/build steam for his Heisman campaign, and after people started to figure it all out (the Deadspin reporters started digging), he pressed the panic button (december 27th) and formulated this BS story that he had an online relationship with a girl that he had never met. He told this story to the AD/coaches and they believed.

I may be wrong, but I thought I heard the Deadspin editor say on CBS radio today that they received an email about this topic last week and moved on it within that time period.
