Is that Te'o's house? Good lord he has burnt sienna for the walls. This guy clearly has serious judgment issues.

Best part about this thread is you can tell the hardcore catholic/ND supporters. Reminds me of the hardcore Joe Paterno supporters. No matter what turns up, Joe Pa was a victim. Same with this Teo character.

I just cant take anything ESPN says seriously considering how they didnt report anything when they had the chance. ESPN is all about protecting their interest, ESPN has long abandoned any legit jourlism for TMZ type reporting of Tim Tebow.

Nah that's IMG in Florida where he's training and creeping everybody else out.

That picture of Te'o might just be the best evidence yet that he is slow enough mentally to fall for this hoax the entire time.

So espn bull shitted to get the interview? Shocker
And no surprise he's not doing some pc but closed door? That surprised me.
Doesn't show him in a good light.

Yep looks like a hard hitting interview of his lawyer. I bet we get all the answers we are looking for from this.

I forget which Nfl GM said this but it is a great quote for this story: "We would rather hire criminals than liars."
There's no way Te'o can sit in front of a GM and be taken at face value after this.

I predicted pages back he'd sit down with only one person with his rep present.
Only thing I missed was it would be off camera. I also thought it would be at his reps home.... Looks like it was at IMG.
He's been coached the last 48 hours to create his story. If he was truly niave and innocent we would have heard from him via a press conference already.
Also done on a Friday night. Slow, slow news time.

Gretta Sustrun(sp) just had a dude from tmz on her show and he is pushing the Teo got duped angle. There also was a guy from CBS sports (I didn't catch his name) saying basically the same thing
I feel like this is gonna be the dominant narrative from here on out and it will continue to gain popularity. I think it's total bullshite, but there is enough positive evidence that it sounds somewhat believable if you ignore/don't report the negative evidence.
Something big will have to come out for anything but "he's the victim" to get play.
I'd lose my shite if espn got owned AGAIN on this story.

It's going to be a pointless interview
Will go something like this
JS: Tell me what happened, including every detail. Please start from the beginning
MT: I was a victim, 100 percent
JS: Thanks. For Manti Te'o, I'm Jeremy Schapp, EEEE-SSSSS-PPP-NNNNN.

Depends. He and Ronnie were buddies. If he was had, it was like a prank. He was definitely in on it BEFORE she "died"
LMAO at this being like a prank, how stupid are you?
This dude went to American Samoa to lie to unrelated NFL players, he was telling people his little sister had a disease, he was making up car accident stories for singing competitions does that sound like a prank.

Damn, where is Anon when you need them. They need a bat signal or something.

That is bizarre. ESPN is a TV network and Schaap is a TV interviewer. Obviously, ESPN would prefer to get his interview on camera, so that must have been a demand from Te’o and his camp. But why, if Te’o is simply an innocent victim of a hoax — as he and Notre Dame have insisted is the case — wouldn’t he want to face the cameras and tell the whole truth?
Florio is a human bullshite detector. frick him for selling out (MDS now writes everything and he blows) but his commentary is always interesting

Exactly. He's guilty in that regard alone.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of gullible people and will believe whatever he says tonight.
I bet this blows over by the weekend and maybe we hear about it again at the combine when the real truth may come out

Even more surprising is that ESPN released a photo of Schaap sitting down with Te’o and Te’o's attorney. If Te’o is simply an innocent victim of a hoax, why does he need to have an attorney present before he can answer any questions?

I hope espn isn't expecting people to believe anything he says without some sort of proof to back up the major details of his story. Phone records of those 8 hour phone calls are necessary. And easily provided.

his rep company are pros. They are handling this in a damage control manner which means he did something wrong.
he was a victim initially, but he then turned it to his favor. He wasn't naive enough that this went in until December. If that's what happened we wouldn't be seeing this joke method of an interview.

No way this story dies over the weekend.
As we like to say in the industry, this story has legs.

At least his new PR boyz are picking up the slack where Notre Dame shite the bed.
Friday night is a good time to do this + the fact he won't be shown on camera. Damage control will be at a minimum.
