Yeah. No way Manti didn't know what was up. The big man on campus doesn't date a girl he has never met , while tons of angelic nastiness is right there in your face. Come on. Common sense here.

If he was the one trolled he still looks like an idiot. Who has a GF they met online and has never seen in person? Why act like it was a meaningful relationship that had lasted awhile? Why does he lie about meeting her in person at Stanford and lie about her visiting his family in Hawaii? Why let all of this go this far?

1-He is gay and this was a cover that he ran with that also assisted in getting publicity
2-The whole thing was a publicity stunt (the worst option)
3-He really did get catfished. I know he said they met and talked on the phone, but he honestly could have lied about that, so he didn't look like a crazy mofo. He was embarrassed that he had a "gf" he never met.
