Idc if he had secks. That same kid said he was always in mass, like all the time. There is an element of the devout about him, regardless of his sex life (or lack thereof; that bolded sentence is pure speculation).
I went to mass every Sunday at UA but I wouldn't call myself the most devout of men. It was mainly out of habit more than anything else.
Did you run into a lot of Mormons at mass?
Did somebody really claim that about Te'o?

So this was AFTER the BCSNCG when ND and Te'o clearly knew the story was fake and they let this fundraising go on and even videoed the guy and posted it? Knowing the death was a hoax?
Notre Dame is trying really hard to frick up worse than Penn State
This is why I think ND didn't even know about this whole thing until very recently. No way they are THAT stupid.
Not that stupid, but that arrogant. They've always been able to control and define the narrative, no matter how outlandish. Why would they think this time would be any different when they got into it early in the season, and started pumping the Heisman publicity machine?
Now, though, people with the ability to fact-check and a platform to broadcast from (Deadspin) but lacking the pathetic bootlicking sycophancy of the media that Notre Dame has always benefitted from are involved. And it's blown the frick up.

Those Catholics and their lack of institutional control. Goes all the way up, no?

They've certainly got some pretty bad egg on their face, PR-wise, but I'm not sure how you can get to the point of finding that this is some sort of NCAA issue with them.
Swarbrick claimed ND thought this whole thing might have somehow been an attempt to influence the outcome of games by victimizing Te'o, but they never notified the police. Did they notify the NCAA? If they didn't, and I was an NCAA investigator, I'd be all up in Swarbrick's junk right now demanding answers to the question why they didn't. If they did, I'd like to hear from the NCAA what the NCAA has made of the case.
Of course, personally, I actually believe that Swarbrick was simply lying in his teeth.

Should we expect a huge fine and NCAA sanctions?
Kidding. No apparent crime was committed, unless Te'o is embezzling from some charity.

Dec. 8 — South Bend television station WSBT shoots video of Te'o saying in a pre-Heisman interview in New York, "I lost both my grandparents and my girlfriend to cancer." That's two days after the date given by Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick for when Te'o found out about the hoax.
There is no possible way they can talk their way around that gem.....

This has got to be the most ridiculous sports story ever right? I mean it's not even over yet
Posted on 1/17/13 at 8:13 pm to arrakis
It seems Notre Dame jumped the gun a little bit. A press conference 3 hours after the Deadspin article was released. It lasted one hour so it appears they knew what was coming. But they didn't seem all that prepared.

I guess, but you just can't sit on that shite either. With all these accusations flying, you have to try to get the situation under control.

Last night I was I leaning towards him getting trolled at first, being embarrassed he had an internet gf so making up lies to his folks and teammates, then finding out she wasn't real and just running with it anyways in order to not look like a tool.
Now I'm confident he was in on it at the very least before she "died". That SI interview is completely obvious he is making shite up on the fly. Plus, not going to see your gf when she is sick dying of cancer? WTF? Who does that? What kind of "relationship" is that?
How can anyone seriously seriously believe that this guy really thought she was real?

Sons, I am disappoint.
I left 3 hours ago, and only 10 pages have been made. What's everybody doing tonight, watching Lance Armstrong? That Armstrong stuff is boring, over here we have a gay man conjuring up a girlfriend out of thin air to satisfy his parents and friends, then he goes and kills her with cancer to win Heisman votes. This is some good stuff.
