Te'o's done, it's over.

I'm not sure how twitter works.....can the friend be following him without Manti following the friend?
I'm sure Teo gets tons of twitter tweets to him so its hard to keep up with them.
I'm honestly clueless to how twitter works. I never liked it.
It is clear as shite that he's lying in the SI story. The ONLY question I have it whether or not he was in it from the onset or he found out he was catfished and used the attention to his advantage

I can alomst guarantee youTeo and Tuiassasopo are in a room right now with about 10 lawyers trying to figure out how the frick they are going to spin this to try to get out of it.
No way this Tuiassasopo guy did it without Teo knowing.
Blatently obvious it was a cue.
After this SI transcript, and the tons of lies that would need explaining...the only option is to come out and admit their gay relationship.
They probably figured the day his grandmother died would be the perfect day to end the huge lie since manti wouldn't have to conjure up fake emotions

You can follow someone without them following you.

He can tweet at him, but I think Manti has to allow the tweet to show up on his(manti's) twitter page.
But he was Manti's special guest the next day, so it would make sense that was true.

So is this like a reverse Catfish?
How is this dude gonna go to the combine? Do interviews with teams? Interact with nfl teammates in the locker room? Be a rookie and go thru hazing in the nfl?

Is it easy for people to block followers? I would think if he noticed this guy who trolled him following him he would have done so.
I don't know what it would be like managing your own twitter account as an athlete.....none of us do.....I'm sure some stuff slips through the cracks and you don't notice thing b/c of the volume of shite you get on there. We need BMac to assist

He'll probably try for a while, but I think it will end up being to much and he'll end up quitting and go back to Hawaii

I must admit: I admire Te'o for his lying prowess. He was able to spin an inconceivable story on the fly for months, without getting caught. That takes a lot of nerve, and a lot of creativity.

Its the classic ability of con men. Hell, its where the "con" in con men comes from.

It's great how we've arrived at the point where the only two possible logical options here are, he's either one of the greatest mad geniuses of all time or one of the biggest idiotic dupes.

He's just like Jesus, y'all.

I still don't think that transcript proves that he was in on it from the get go.
I still think one of two things happened:
He got duped, exaggerated as more and more media attention came in (or exaggerated b/c he was embarrassed to admit it was an online thing), and then found out. Maybe he tried to cover it up, maybe he didn't. I'd guess he did.
Remember: this guy is Mormon, a religion that requires a lot of faith and suspension of belief to adhere to. It's not like he couldn't suspend belief for some of the outrageous stuff.
I just don't buy that he was in on it from the start. The risk/reward there does not compute from the start, nor does the risk/reward for ND to completely back him.
