Proposal from MLB goes to the players union to be voted on today I believe. Would have a July 1 start date

Had we seen anything in the latest proposal about the division realignment, consolidated locations etc?

People are running wild with different stuff since it came out that the Indians are telling their players and staff to be ready for July 1st. I would be hesitant on thinking baseball has chosen that date. And even if they have, it will assuredly be just a goal contingent on testing capabilities that may or may not exist

Source confirms: MLB plans to give union a proposal regarding start of the season within a week. Wrote today about the continuing difficulty of formulating a plan. LINK Start dates remain fluid. Both @JeffPassan and @Joelsherman1 mentioned proposal coming soon.

Teams are telling players to get ready and get in shape. MLB is expected to send a return-to-play proposal to the union soon. The gears for baseball's return are starting to turn -- but significant hurdles remain for it to become a reality.

The goal is to play at teams’ regular home parks, and many owners are suggesting even spring training at those home parks (ie Dodger Stadium, Miller Park, etc.), not regular AZ and FL sites. That’s being debated. If spring is in franchise cities, they’d rely on intrasquad games.

I read that there's no hard and fast dates set yet. Early to middle June for spring training, early July for start of season.

Since the suspension of sports, I barely turn my TV on. I can't stay up late enough to watch the Korean games.

Gotta hand it to Drew Brees for replacing the Astros as 2020's most hated sports figure.

I've never been more proud to be a Saints/Brees and Astros fan. I'm fine with embracing thr dark side.

I had to delete reddit because I couldn’t stomach going over there and reading that subreddit. Might need to log back in to check out some of the crawfishing.

It may not mean anything, but if the players immediately went to social that tells me they knew Yankees were doing more than the Apple Watch but were told to keep their mouth shut and wear the punishment. This could end up being a nothingburger, but my god would it be hilarious if the Yankees were doing something similar to the Astros

Our old friend Jomboy is now warning we take a wait and see approach for some pointed and detailed evidence before we jump in on vague speculation.

They provide zero insight into anything there. It’s “alleged that its worse” is... incredibly vague. We’ll wait and see what it says or if detailed and pointed allegations come out, then we can go search for stuff, like the trash can banging.

Yes and when someone called him out on the buzzer stuff he turtled said he wasn’t the first one to say he heard about buzzers. Yet he worked tirelessly to push any small piece of evidence to say without a doubt the Astros used buzzers

Theres no such thing as a true blue NYC born and bred Yankees fan thats unbiased.

Jomboy will now work over time to cover for his favorite team.

We all saw this shite from the beginning, we know it was all about placing the spotlight on a non-blue blood baseball squad. Not only were the Astros not a blue blood but they had kicked the Yankees arse 3 out of the last 4 years.

This was 90% sour grapes from LA/NY and 10% legitimate griping about the Astros.

Anyone who thinks the Astros were the only team is kidding themselves.
