I missed Blanco’s inning but tuned back in for Abreu. Same old Abreu, shite is borderline unhittable (98-99 with every fastball) but two walks that got him in trouble but he wiggled himself out of

Blanco got 5 outs

Dusty took him out and put in Morgan who promptly put 2 on and gave up an Alonso bomb

The 2017 Astros’ title doesn’t have an asterisk. For Brian Cashman, the Yankees’ World Series drought does

quote:

“The only thing that stopped [us] was something that was so illegal and horrific,” Cashman told The Athletic at George M. Steinbrenner Field. “So I get offended when I start hearing we haven’t been to the World Series since ’09. Because I’m like, ‘Well, I think we actually did it the right way.’ Pulled it down, brought it back up. Drafted well, traded well, developed well, signed well. The only thing that derailed us was a cheating circumstance that threw us off.”

quote:

“I’m past it now,” Cashman said. “But it does bother me when it comes up. We built something that — I can’t tell you we would have won. I can’t tell you we would have beat the Dodgers. But I do feel pretty confident that that team [the Astros] wasn’t stopping us, if it wasn’t for those advantages. That’s all.”

That's the series where our pitching completely shut their bats down at Minute Maid, right?

They couldn't hit their way out of a wet paper bag in Houston

I don't think Beltran will ever speak, but McCann can't possibly hold on to what he knows.

Well, they averaged 0.75 rpg in Minute Maid and 6.3 rpg in Yankee Stadium. Either it was the pitching or they were obviously cheating and stealing signs at home. See how easy that was?

That's how I remember it.

I've had a theory for a while now... Yankees were using a spotter at both home and away games.

Astros figured out their method and devised a way to make or block their electronic signals resulting in them being unusable in MMP. That is also why the Astros went with the "analog" banging of trashcans.

I think the "letter" will eventually disclose my theory is fairly accurate.

Was this signal blocking technology not portable?

Queefman is obviously feeling some real pressure after all these years. You hate to see it.

Portable? yes.

Concealable? Not likely. Most of them have numerous antennas - despite many on the market that "fit in your pocket", the truly effective ones are too bulky to be truly concealed in a pocket.

I've been in some meetings where they were used -- pretty cool. There are some that provide a small radius of protection and some offer a directable signal blocker (this type is usually ITAR controlled and not easily available on the open market).

They couldn’t figure out on their own McCullers was gonna throw a curveball? Really?

That article is mother fricking funny coming from him.

fricking hypocrite scumbag needs to thank his lucky stars they're the Yankees cuz if they weren't, they'd get the same treatment. We all know they're obvious cheaters. Too bad Manfred is completely spineless.

Also to any Yankee fan reading this, this is for you...

Mad Dog on Cashman

I don't know if yall saw this or not, and I am absolutely not a Chris Russo fan at all, but this is a good video. He absolutely roasts the Yankees. Was well done.

Yankees are scum.

Russo has had some very rational takes about the whole thing.

He pretty much told the Dodgers to shut up and quit crying a few years ago too

Cashman’s remarks also imply the Yankees would have beaten the Dodgers. Pretty big assumption.

Just embarrassing to say what he said, especially for something that happened 5 years ago. One world title since 2000 with the most accomplished franchise in MLB.

Does Dusty get the blame for Lance not pitching yet or even coming back this year which is looking more likely?
