Jon Heyman is such a dolt. He left Bagwell off his hall of fame ballot because he suspects his career was artificially enhanced by steroids.

But he did vote for Barry Bonds because he had a hall of fame career before he went down the PED path.

Regardless, of the 163 ballots (37% of the voters) that have been made public, Bagwell has gotten 92% of those votes. He should get in this year.

The PED era has really wrecked the hall of fame I think. And I can't stand guys like that who are inconsistent. Either leave them all off the ballot entirely or ignore the PED thing

If anyone wants the link to the HOF Ballot Tracker -- it is located at: Excel Online File

Jeff Kent, Fred McGriff, and Manny Ramierez (amonth others) have already been eliminated from reaching 75% this year.

Apparently Luhnow went to Rays and offered 1 of Tucker/Martes/Paulino + 2 more prospects for Archer which they turned down

Hmm, that's super lowball. No way they'd trade Archer without getting back Tucker, Martes and more

Sit tight on pitching until the all star break. I have a good feeling.

I'll ride with you Ryno. But when the Astros rotation stumbles out of the gate with the Jose-LimaKeuchel and a 60-Day DLance McCullers... I'm bumping this thread and will be ruthless for you bringing on the bad Mojo.

But until then, I'm fine with rolling the dice and hoping for the offense to carry the team to the break.

The White Sox reportedly asked the Astros for 24-year-old right-hander Joe Musgrove (who was solid in a 69-inning MLB debut last year) and the team’s top two prospects, righty Francis Martes and outfielder Kyle Tucker, in exchange for Quintana last month.

Man I hope they don't get rid of both Musgrove and Martes. I'd be okay with one or the other getting traded. Both at the same time will hurt.

Why can't they just headline a trade with Peacock?

And the Archer trade wasn't lowballing?

Early rendering of Arlington's new ballpark.

IMO a train would look great atop those left field arches. Maybe a hill in centerfield would complete the unique look they're going for.

They should have two Dominican league players giving each other handjobs in the train car in place of the basket of oranges IMO
