Seems like very good value though for you guys.
I must be getting old because $16 million a year for a guy that's never hit more than 20 HR's, 97RBI's, and hit over .313 once and that was by far his best season...............doesn't seem like good value to me. That goes to show you just how overpaid Harper will be if he gets $30 million though.

The Brantley deal is market value considering its term.

I like the Brantley move. Good value and excellent add to the lineup. Having Correa hitting between Bregman and Brantley is going to let him see a lot of fastballs.
No more reddkck in clutch spots so that’s a win for society

I like Kluber, but I like Bumgarner more.
If memory serves me correct, Kluber is like the AL Kershaw in that his playoff numbers don't jive with his overall performance. We won't have trouble getting to the playoffs with this team.
We need a playoff arm. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone that fits that category better than Bum, and he's a lefty. And he would come cheaper prospect-wise due to only one year of control.

The #Astros are back in the mix for #Marlins J.T. Realmuto. Top prospect Kyle Tucker remains a target for a potential deal. The #Padres also have interest, along with #Dodgers #Rays and more. Hard to say if there is a frontrunner at this point. Multiple teams involved.

I’m not 100% on board with Realmuto but with the Brantley addition plus possibly adding Realmuto? Lineup is deeeeep

If they move Tucker for Realmuto I hope they’re ready to move prospects as well for a starter. Pretty slim pickings left in FA
Lineup would be stacked though

I am starting to like the Brantley deal. He's got the experience but his health is a concern so with out OF it's perfect to platoon him and even keep him in the lineup with the DH. Two years is the perfect risk/reward. I do understand why Cleveland wants to move on due to his injury history and they're cleaning house.

I guess Chirinos could be packaged with Tucker, not giving up much else.
And they have to feel like at least one of James, Valdez, or Whitley will suffice come playoff time with Verlander and Cole.
A Bumgarner deal could get done w/o Tucker or Whitley, with only one year attached to him.

seriously, adding Brantley to this lineup is such an upgrade. Especially if Correa somehow finds his backbone and Altuve's bionic knee holds up.
And with Brantley, the Chirinos deal is now a HUGE upgrade.

In the end, I don’t think they will have to give up Tucker.
But it will be a painful haul to give anyway.

That wedding is still a year away.

Lets sign Preston Tucker and slip him in the deal and hope the Marlins don’t notice the switch. Almost worked in the nba last week

Wait, really? Why? Correa wants to win an MVP before he gets married?
