If he can close with the Cubs (which seems likely) then I can see it. Rangers are an obvious he’d approve to but that one is tricky
If we can deal Pressly for a couple mid level prospects and sign Profar I’d be pretty happy with how this offseason has gone to be honest

Among the list of things I don't want is a 5'5 35 year old 2nd baseman playing OF for the first time in his professional career.
Also, if it weren't ridiculous enough to begin with...you don't, for very obvious reasons, put Jose Altuve on the outer edges out the field, near the outfield fence and the creatures just beyond.

It's hilarious to even consider Jose in the outfield.
If they got Bregman back, they'd need to trade Paredes (for an OF, obviously).

Obvious in house solution is either Paredes or Bregman play SS and Pena moves to LF. He's got the athletic ability and arm to be a corner OF. But damn that would really ding our infield defense. Peña had some yips last year but he's way way better than any of the alternatives.
I don't see much point in bringing Bregman back. That's why we went and got Paredes in the first place. I'd rather just get a real outfielder.

The only scenario in which Bregman or Paredes should see major league innings at SS is in the middle of one game after multiple injuries happened

Swing and another miss from Dana Brown. Another OF off the board

3/42 for Profar. Don’t think the Astros would ever get there.

Yep. He and Albies both from Curacao, fill fit in that locker room and on the field. Wild how volatile he’s been the last few years. Definitely a nice player

Or not

Blocked the trade or hasn't yet waived his NTC?

Thanks for the list!
A few decent options there. For some reason I fear we won’t make a move for any of them…the decent ones that is.
