That's not going to happen until a new GM is brought on board. That way, if Yuli fails as a bench player, Crane will have an easy out of getting rid of the new GM.
On that note, I heard he is currently negotiating with the ghost of Al Rosen.

I was having this debate recently…did the Astros actually upgrade with Peña over Correa?
Leadership/Intangibles: Correa
Defense: tie
Hitting: Peña
Do the Astros win the World Series with Correa instead of Pena? My argument was no but buddy said yes citing pitching.

Correa is without a doubt a better overall player despite Pena playing out of his mind last postseason when it mattered most. Would Correa have done that? Who knows. Pena gives them financial flexibility and freedom that they probably wouldn’t enjoy with Correa. So maybe they don’t have Verlander last year if they resigned Correa. I’m guessing they don’t have Abreu this year. That’s the benefit, plus Pena is younger with plenty of room to grow and improve from where he’s at now. I’m excited to see him next year

Not on the field and locker room, but it wasn't a big drop at all and it gave the Astros money to bring JV back, extend Yed, go after Abreu, etc.

Probably so. Correa tended to show up big in the postseason.
