Yep, Hensley at 6'6" who can play anywhere will likely be a brilliant late innings 1B.

I think Hensley has a spot regardless of Yuli
But Yuli has a cockroach quality about him that I like
The way he appeared in the playoffs when Diaz was nowhere to be found
Not a charity move IMO, unless he was more injured than has been mentioned in Game 5

I love Yuli. He's a legend.
I don't want him taking up a roster spot anymore. I'd like to see Hensley and eventually Y. Diaz get those at bats.

Yeah, I can see it that way
But if the need for Dubon b/c he can play CF keeps Yuli off the roster, Dubon is automatically my default whipping boy

He's my Carlos Gomez. I don't the irrational anger at Dubon like I did Gomez every time that obnoxious MFer swung out of his helmet. But I dislike him the same.

Not sure what the situation is with Blake Taylor but he probably factors in as well. It feels like we are probably done. I’d rather see Hensley/Yainer/Lee get ABs than the Tucker Bernhart’s of the world or Yuli (god bless his soul) unless it knocks Dubon off, but that ain’t happening. A small pitching addition, even a small trade for someone with MiL options who can provide some depth, would be nice because it could get thin quick if a couple of those rotation arms go down. But I don’t know if that happens

Yeah currently when there’s injuries it will be mighty thin unless someone like Hensley or Diaz really steps up. Ideally I’d like a proven FA to put on the bench and push Dubon off the roster. Let’s the young guys get exposure without putting too much on their shoulders when guys inevitably get hurt

I think the next news we hear will be a GM signing sometime after the new year. Ideally sooner rather than later

Susan Slusser of the SF Chronicle said on Twitter she was told it was not the back that was flagged on the physical.
