How about you tell us more about what "everyone else" did.

The media narrative now is, “The other teams were using the baserunner method (the dugout gets the video feed and signals it to the second baseman, who signals it to the batter), whereas the Astros were signaling in live video feed at any given time during the game.”

The argument here is that teams only had a baserunner on 19.7 percent of the time, whereas the Astros could employ their method 100 percent of the time, so what the Astros were doing was five times worse than the other teams who used electronic sign stealing.

There was a particular entry in Evan Drellich’s book that went into detail about Correa leaning forward on second to signal to Yuli that a fastball was coming, and Yuli hit a grand slam because of it. Drellich praised this, even though it’s still illegal, and bashed the trash can and massage gun against a door method.

Evan went on to say in an interview with 97.5 in Houston that the other teams were doing an 85 in a 75, whereas the Astros were doing a 130 in a 75.

So it’s basically up to you, “Are there different degrees in cheating?” or “Is cheating, no matter how egregious one method is compared to another, the same across the board?”

In sports, which are zero-sum competitions of winning or losing, either you are a cheater or you aren’t, and either no one does it or everyone does it. If one team cheats, every team should cheat. There are no degrees to it. You shouldn’t get a pass for being “less of a cheater”.

Kershaw is the typical Dodger crybaby who then rationalizes once he’s been found to be endorsing a lie. “OK, we may have done something, but they were worse.” Not what he’s been saying the past 3+ years. He needs some excuse for all of the times he’s gotten his arse kicked in the postseason.

Don't believe the twittersphere self-fellatio farnsworth hype.

He's a roided up punk.

Lance was a waste of money. Love the guy, he's a bulldog competitor but he'll never stay healthy.

I just watched his interview from the lockerroom. His demeanor and the words he is choosing do not support this, "i'll be throwing in a couple of weeks."

He has the demeanor of an athlete facing the very real potential of a career ender.

I think it was nearly a unanimous consensus here in the DAT the day he was drafted -- he is destined to be a closer.

No chance he can consistently maintain a starters load on his arm. Then again, why should we expect him to be able to meet the frequency demands of a reliever.

For all Intents and purposes, we should forget his name.

To change the subject to a less depressing note.

If I were a young hot gay dude, instead of a 50-something out of shape heterosexual dad of 4, I’d be all crushed over for Mr. World Series MVP. He must work out.

Peña did a promotional event at a local Raising Canes a week or so after the championship. I think every latina in Houston between the ages of 15-30 and their moms showed up.
