Free Agents:
Yuli
Brantley
Montero
Diaz
Castro
Vazquez

Pending Options (likely all free agents):
Verlander
Will Smith
Mancini

Big decisions on both Dusty and Click as well. Sounds like Dusty will be back, Click much less certain

I want them all back, but Yuli as a coach.

Vazquez is gone, and I don't blame him since Maldy is still signed. Diaz is a toss up and Castro I don't want back as a player, but if he is done playing and wants to stay in the organization then there should be a spot for him.

JV needs to retire as an Astro. Mancini should be on the list of veteran 1B to replace Yuli, but ultimately I wouldn't be shocked if he signs elsewhere. Will Smith, congrats on two rings in a row, TYFYS.

ETA: "YWCHA Edition" feels good, man.

Under team control for 4 more seasons. You think Dubon, Garcia, and Whitley could land Ohtani?

Rizzo would be great, his approach at the plate fits the Astros mold and he's a plus defender. That said, he's likely too expensive.

Pretty similar K/BB numbers to Rizzo but without the power. If Brantley doesn't work out he would be a goid fit.

I went in 17. Never again. I mean if you don't have kids with you and you can take the entire day off go for it but once you are down there you are trapped and can't get out for many many hours... No bathrooms,

It’s very cool to see but Ryno is right, you are somewhat stuck there for a while. I’d imagine it would be miserable with kids. If you are younger and live in town/want to hang out at bars around after it’s fun

I worked downtown on the route in 17, which was awesome. We could go down to the street but use the facilities in our building and had a great view from our offices 20 floors or so up. Was great for my coworkers who had families come in town

shite y’all are making me not want to go now, especially since I might need to be back in Kingwood at 5. I might just go watch at the local bar.

Alright, that sounds kind of miserable being trapped and the bathroom situation lol. They tweeted a map with portapotty locations but I'm sure those will be awful. I'm in the heights and would Uber, if I did go.

I don’t know if I read it here, but rumors have mentioned that Crane wants David Stearns

I think the odds are high Verlander is back. Crane already said he would be calling him and I know they are close. I don’t think Verlander has a desire to play anywhere else if we are going to give him what he’s worth which I expect Crane to make sure of. 2 years for 80 mil or so seems about right. Whether that’s a good idea or not is a separate discussion but when Crane wants to intervene in the front office part he typically gets what he wants.

That doesn’t leave a ton of money to play with under the tax with raises for Bregman, Yordan and arbitration eligible guys. Something like maybe 20-30 mil? If Verlander is gone then we can really shoot for the stars in the position player group because the rotation is so deep.

Being in the Heights and using Uber makes it much better I think. Having to park and drive out of there in that traffic would make it pretty miserable IMO. You can always walk somewhere nearby and hang out/get food or a beer and wait for things to die down.
