I read a stat that the Astros lead the league in HR this year and that it absolutely wild to me

When every AB by every player in every count is a HR swing regardless of location, it's not surprising to me.
What is surprising is that very few of them have oppo power, but will still try to pull pitches on the outside part of the plate also regardless of the count or situation.

Interesting tidbit I thought the DAT might find interesting...
The 6 K's JV had in his final start wound up being the difference in staying ahead of Scherzer on the all time list. Max had a great start yesterday and would have passed him. They wouldn't say it but I'm sure they both care about this small detail

Scherzer is currently top ten all time and did it in two fewer years than JV. I think he’ll be ok.

Bullpen game tomorrow.
With how left handed they are, I think it's probably King or Sousa and you make them make the decision about starting their platoon players and having to sub them once you get into the RH portion of your bullpen.
Would the White Sox be willing to empty/go to the bench in the 3rd/4th inning to remove Pham and Grichuk and not have them for the other lefties late and potentially higher leverage?
Would be incredible if Okert could be good to go, saw he travelled the last week but don't remember reading/hearing if he was throwing or close.

King has been terrible since the end of June. Sousa actually has reverse splits this year and has been terrible against lefties.

I understand all of those things you guys brought up, just telling you what I think could happen and what their discussions are based on the handedness of the team they are playing and how Joe has treated the opener role all year.
He could switch it up and use Ulloa to Blubaugh (and believe me I would much rather that be the case), but the dude loves matchups regardless how not in his favor they are and he's making Venables and that staff make lineup and personnel decisions extremely early in the game because they also hunt their matchups and aren't scared to burn players for an at bat
