Night, boys.

Microcosm of the season. Good start, horrid finish.

King had not allowed an inherited run all year, and had an OPS against RHH of .544
In a must win game where you get every result you need, he gives up a bloop RBI 1B and a back breaking HR
If that’s not the 2025 Astros I don’t know what is
But impossible to really be upset with King. Astros punched out 10 times in a game starter by Kyle Hendricks and are 1-9 RISP

Well that's nice. Everything else went right for us tonight but then we can't touch 4 runs against the assbag Angels.
In an ironic touch, in a season decimated by injuries, our remaining life gets nuked by Mr. IL himself Mike Trout.

And here it is.

Well boys it was a nice run.

Fitting the 3 outs in the 9th were strikeouts, 2 by the deadline pickups Sanchez and Urias, and Dubon. All 3 are spare parts at best on a decent team, much less this bag of shite.

Last time The Astros didn't go to the playoffs was 2016, I liked 2017

And 8 of those were against rag-arm Kyle Hendricks.

Story of this team.

Espada was a mistake and so was Dana. Crane needs to clean house.
Cardinal rule of baseball and pretty much any sport. Never let the other team’s best player beat you. It’s a constant failure by Espada in managing to that rule. The decline will continue until he’s gone.

Well the good news is, this should be the last game of the season tonight

I just call him Sleepy Joe Expedia.... in honor of his nickname, I went to bed knowing we would blow the lead and when I woke up this morning, I was correct. I've learned my lesson with this manager not to stay up until the end and then go to bed upset. I slept much better last night!! Lol

Incredible
That was my “nice AB” reference earlier in the thread. Seriously that should have been enough to bench him. If I were managing, I might have even yanked him after strike 2. It’s just inexcusable. There was nothing deceptive about any of those pitches. He just went up there with zero approach and said I’m swinging three times regardless. You can’t have that kind of player on a team that already has players with those tendencies.
