He's got 4 starts in the last 11 games. He sat out 2 of the 3 against Texas, 2 of the 3 against Oakland and 2 of the 3 against Kansas City.

Maybe Tuck needs to sit down and rest a day.
Hes 2-19 with 1 BB and 4 SO and has only driven in 2 runs in the last 5 games.
Not saying he's the only guy doing bad, but that's pretty bad for him.

Tucker's rest should have come in June or July. Maybe he wouldn't be 2-for-19 now. Even 2-for-19 isn't cause for an off-day. I respect the thought but he shouldn't be sitting today.
I'm sticking by my theory that Baker doesn't want to go to the playoffs so he can get a month's head start on the offseason.

And even if you do rest him, you play the next best guy, which right now is Dubon.
Some of the things he’s done this week alone, in addition to the lineup frickery, are flat out conceding.
Letting Shitty hit late in the A’s game with a man on down by 3, putting this guy Souza in Friday night(I seriously did not know who he was and it’s irrelevant that he got out of the inning) and then Kuhnel last night who allowed an insurance run. Where’s Abreu? He hasn’t pitched since Wednesday. Before that the last time he pitched was Saturday. What good is “saving” guys for games that may not even be played?
