The inner conflict created by playing at home, yet playing a division leader, has produced a win somehow. Tonight, Ronnie White, who is still trying to put himself back together after being absolutely shelled in his last minor league outing, will take the hill for YFPHA. I don’t know what goes into making these decisions, but I’m pretty sure of the result:

I am certain the only real chance of victory is an offering to the baseball gods via Caesar's Sportsbook

Why do you say that? Doesn’t every organization make a mumbling meathead the current head of baseball ops and let him do 9 innings of color analysis on TV while he refuses to say who will be brought up to pitch the next night even though he knows? Don’t they also let him back on the air for more 2 more games, too?

Bagwell sounded like he was announcing a funeral last night.

Under
Bullpen game, which means the offense has to put up some big numbers.

Dana is doing some talking. Remember he came in day one saying we're gonna lock up our young guys. Now hes out and says we tried to sign them but Jim Crane doesn't do long deals.

That's where Crane's philosophy doesn't make sense. If you're digging in your heels on not signing market deals for star players, then you gotta be prepared to trade em in an effort to restock the farm. When you're sitting under .500 knowing Pena is going to be retained, you have to trade him
