The good ol boys continued their reign of terror through Gotham with a well earned 3-1 win over the Mets.

Hunter Brown is once again the People's Ace as he won for the first time in August. Varsho continues to make the haters rethink their stance as he had another big hit, and Hader did Hader things.

Today's pitching? Well...

The Mets are going with Nolan McLean

No, not the failed 90's attempt at healthy fast food. This McLean is actually legit. 2.93 career ERA, and threw 6 innings of 1-hit shutout ball vs the White Sox last time out.

Given this, along with who the Astros are using, plus the fact that Hader is probably unavailable, there is only one logical conclusion to draw:

LOSS

(I am not even sure wahoo betting against us would work today)

This is one of the better week 0 slates in recent memory. 3-4 watchable games.

It will keep getting better every year. Funny it is such a slow process to make 'Week 0' the actual opening week since NFL preseason just makes people hungry for major college and NFL games that count.

I think they’re a year or so away from slapping a premium game in the prime time slot.

I’d like to see the players already cut from NFL rosters throw a team together and play a D1 schedule as an independent. At this point, why not?

So, now they’re going to do what I suggested they do before Javier’s last start. I just wish they had chosen someone other than Sousa to open.

bullshite base hit would not have hurt but for the 2 walks.

Sousa should not be anywhere near a leverage spot evwr again.

You knew he couldn’t produce a scoreless inning. At this point get rid of him. There’s no value with him on the mound unless we’re 8 runs up or 8 runs down.

Just dropping by to say Sousa is a loser and the absolute perfect starter for his manager

Now back to football
