Happy JV day to all those that still celebrate.

Guessing JV will be on a 75-80 pitch count, need him to be efficient and eat some innings. The bullpen could be pretty taxed going into the four game set with Baltimore especially with Dubin throwing 20+ pitches last night and him being the swing man in the past to eat a couple and Ort worked two. Think that makes them keep Seth Mart up in case disaster scenario,

At least until he labors today and doesn’t get out of the 3rd inning. A win today and for JV to go fairly deep would be just what the doctor ordered.

Bregman back and leading off at DH. No Altuve.

Methinks I’ve seen enough of Dubon in the everyday lineup.

Well thats stupid. Assuming Bregman hasn't totally lost his mojo and can still hit, let's put him in a slot where it's guaranteed nobody will be on base in front of him.

Put slappy singles machine Yordan at leadoff and give yourself 2 chances to get him home with Breg and Yainer.

Why are we giving Altuve another day off? He was just DH like 3 games ago

Espada says Gamel will join the team in Baltimore. Goodbye Kabbage.

Welp I was wrong about how they would handle the pitching. Just sent Seth back down.

Not sure who can cover multiple innings today. Ferguson is down. King, Dubin, and Ort all threw 20+ yesterday. You’d have to think they save Scott for leverage late and close.

Looking into that just realized how bad the Astros did against their bullpen yesterday and allowed them to reset. Red Sox used 4 bullpen arms yesterday and they combined threw 38 pitches.

On any given day presently, you have 5-6 spots in the order that are not capable of giving you 1 QAB per game, and even that AB doesn’t mean much when surrounded by similar ABs

This team is Mariners 2.0 without its starters in the lineup. And even then, you are 2 starters shy. Caratini is the only bench player that has filled his role nicely

Singleton vs RHP has outperformed the rest in their given roles, but that’s not saying much

Shocking! I'd have bet money on a retro IL stint. I still believe the Bregman isn't one to like sitting out.

My dumb arse thought this said Gurriel instead of Gamel. Was kind of excited for a second honestly.

Not so fast. Ort placed on the paternity list. Seth is back.

Dana says they hope Tucker can come back the first week of September. I don't know if that means back in the lineup or start a rehab assignment. Back in the lineup seems like a long shot given it's August 21st and he's not full go ok running yet.

I’m pretty old as DATers go. I have never in my life heard of anything like this. 3 months. A. fricking. Bone. Bruise.
