Can they carry 14 pitchers? I can’t remember. They could easily roll with a 3 man bench honestly. Dubon already plays every other day as is, might as well make use of his only good quality, versatility.

Joe Perez
Korey Lee
Niko Goodrum
Perez and Goodrum (gross) are the only ones that fit the UTIL mold.
They could easily release Goodrum though if they wanted to bring up someone else.

It's sad because it's true.
What they should do is release Goodrum and purchase Gilbert's contract. He's a natural CF, LH bat, has faced tough competition. Trial by fire, kid. Maybe he can spark the offense. We know Goodrum can't do that.

David Hensley and Justin dirden. Dirden can rake from the left side and play LF. HENSLEY gets on base at a high level and can play anywhere. Anywhere.
