Looks like they could be dodging rain drops in the Charm City this afternoon. Hopefully everything clears out in time and Hunter can continue his good form with his 4th consecutive quality start and finish this road trip 5-2.

Orioles in day games this year - 28-17
Astros in day games this year - 23-17

But I had a dream last night we get a real dusty special today.

Only thing I remember is Dubon batting cleanup

We flew too close to the sun. Then Dusty fricked it up

No reason given yet for lineup change. McCormick said “I’m good. I’m just off today. I’ll be in there tomorrow.”

When Dusty is gone, I can't wait to hear Chas talk about how much they hate each other.

And Chas actually came out of it last night.

Robbed of a homer and then doubled the other way, and he just had an off day on Tuesday. Incredibly bizarre

Dusty must've woke up from his mid morning nap and panicked once he saw that lineup. It was just too good and had to be changed.

Dusty says Chas has a bruised knee from his dive on Rutschmans triple yesterday.

Also this

quote:

José Abreu’s lower back is “acting up,” Baker said. He said Abreu brought it to the training staff’s attention last night and will be evaluated when the Astros are back home.

10 day IL trip is the best course of action. I'm of the mind that he covered up a back issue earlier in the season. I thought he had a back issue when he was struggling so terribly and now he's doing the same things again. All arms swing with no base under him, can't generate any power, grounds out constantly.

It's almost like giving an older, less-than-athletic guy that contract was a mistake or something.

90 day IL sounds about right.

Maybe there's hope he's not totally washed if it's not an old man issue. My thoughts on him now are that he's had a back issue all season that he didn't disclose and played through. Started feeling better around June and his bat was fine but it's flared back up on him in the last couple weeks and you see him looking exactly the same as April and May. He wasn't this bad with the power outage in spring training.

Of course a 36 year old power hitter with a months long back issue causing a power outage gives you pause as he ages another year

Excited to see what Singleton can do. Hopefully it’s an upgrade
