Did he say what's really on the team's mind? Probably so.

Was it a good thing to say publicly? Probably not.

I'm gonna put it on "heat of the moment"

Dallas has always been a "me" kind of guy. That's perfectly fine for an ace pitcher as long as it doesn't cause any problems for the team (see Sale's behavior last season).

Nothing will come of this if pitching holds up in October, but the trade deadline will be revisited often if it does not hold up.

Yeah I can see that. In all honesty maybe Im crazy, but I think Altuve and Springer really like being on the astros and enjoy being the faces of the organization. I think we make a reasonable offer and they are here for the long haul. Correa....not sure. Keuchel I feel like as you say is kind of a "me" guy and would test the market but JMO will find that his skills arent as valued in other organizations as much as ours.

Hinch saying he doesn't think springer will be coming off the DL when he's eligible. That isn't good at all. A strain doesn't take 2 weeks to heal. Wonder if this is a knee injury.

It's not keeping him from actively clowning in the dugout every night.

No, not at all. I wasn't implying that.

If JL is a man he goes and had a closed door with the guys today. You have to clear things up first off, then you need to find a way to get moral up.

Correa is enamoured with Yankee pinstripes. He will sign a huge contract with them.

I haven't noticed the keuchel is a "me" guy. I have noticed that he is an intense competitor that doesn't mind showing his emotions. I think his comments reflect that more than a "me" first persona.

As for today's lineup development... I'm not sure Sipp will be back in 10 days. I'm not a surgeon, but I'm pretty sure it will take him longer than 10 days to recover from his surgery to remove that leaking vagina from his calf.

I think it's too late for that. He had one job. Blaming another team don't cut arse. He's had 2 months. Didn't even need a huge splash just add two quality middle relievers. Failed.

He could take responsibility and apologize for not getting something done. For me, when someone comes out and says hey I dropped the ball, I always gain a little respect for them. I do feel like he will make a waiver trade, let's just see how impactful it is

Frankly with this (clubhouse discord) he almost has to. two names that Ive seen tossed around is (obviously) Verlander and then Samardjiza. Nasty contracts but the July deadline failure has made us beggars not choosers.

Verlander will finish the season as an Astro.

Goes to show you lunhow is not a legit gm. He's over his head. The players have balled out. He didn't get it done for them and I'm glad keuchel is being honest about it. I guarantee you he isn't the only one.
Lunhow built this team.

It's disappointing they didn't get a really good pitcher at the trade deadline, but come on.

I'm not gonna lie....Keuchel's comments kinda piss me off even if it's true and even if he's right

I COMPLETELY understand all of the frustration from fans, so I don't blame DK for being disappointed

With that said, the dude is one of the guys in that locker room who has been around for awhile. He knows what you should or shouldn't say publicly. And he knows how important a good locker room atmosphere can be

That clubhouse needs to make this "us against the world" for everyone saying they aren't good enough. Don't go publicly shitting on the organization. It's going to cause problems...he just basically put up the bat signal for the media to run wild (a local media probably pissed from the trade deadline )

I really hope the old folk on this roster can handle it. Or one of the young core guys step up and unite everyone. Correa and Lance seem like they could do that

What I've learned today....

Luhnow is. It a capable GM (never mind the rebuild and current success)
All Astro players will sign somewhere else when contract is up
Astros lost playoffs series yesterday

You guys are a barrel of fricking monkies.

Keuchel should know better than to say that stuff. As much as Gregerson has struggled I admire him for getting a little pissed at that question getting floated around. Need more players with that mentality.
